Activity 1: Think of all the pros and cons of Coronavirus quarantine. Write 3 things you CAN do

Activity 2: Read the text about North Korea. Then watch the video (click the link) about Drew
Brinsky’s visit to North Korea. Answer the questions.

1. Can American citizens visit North Korea? No, they can’t. Nowadays, Americans can’t visit North Korea.

2. What do people need to do before flying to Pyongyang? People need to go to a briefing (meeting) to be
informed about all the things they can and can’t do.

3. What can happen if you do some of the things you can’t do in North Korea? You can suffer severe
consequences. You can go to prison or worse.

4. Can you take pictures or make videos if you visit North Korea? When no? You can take pictures of leaders
in full face, not cut off. You can’t take pictures of government or police buildings. You can’t take pictures
of constructions.

5. Can you visit the country without a tour group? No, you can’t. Unless you run the marathon like Drew did.

6. Can you leave your hotel whenever you want? No, you can’t. But you can go to the bar, restaurant and to
play bowling inside the hotel.
