Galileo

I-Comprehension :

1- The cathedra of pisa was lit by a candelabra which was sit in motion by
the attendant who lighted the candles.

2- Galileo decided to measure the time by counting gis own pulse.

3- Galileo was probably surprised at the facct that although the swings were
becoming shother the duration in time remained the same.

4- Galileo tried to relate the pendulum to medicine by suggesting using ba

pendulum of standard length for measuring the pulse beat of patients thats
because galileo still had one foot in the medical profession.

5- Galileo turned away from medicine studies due to the change of his
interest’s direction since the study of the pendulum and some objects.

6- The study of laws of motion is called dynamics .

7- Newton worked after galileo almost a century after him.

8- The false idea that was common at galileo’s day is that heavy objects fall
down faster than light ones.

9- Galilio tried to disprove aristotle’s statement by dropping two spheres

from the leaning tower of pisa the two spheres his the grownd at the same
time.

10- Concluding :
In the cathedral of pisa that is lit by candelabras ,Galileo noticed that the
candelabra’s swings are becoming smaller , through some experilments he
noticed that the time of swings remained the same using his own pulse to
measure time which led him to suggest using the pundelum in the medical
field to measure the pulse beat patients. Galileo then gave uphis medical
studies to study what its now known as dynamics , galileo couldnt solve the
problem he faced but the contributed to the birth of the solution of then by
then proving wrong the false idea that was common about the laws of
motion .

II-Composition :
- We should never follow this advice follow this advice because galileo
wouldnt have contributed to his study field without proving his theory
about dynamics which led to other important discoveries later.
