SHALOM HILLS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

World Peace Through Education

Cir: SHIS 68/2023-24 Dated: 09.02.2024

Dear Parents

Greetings from Shalom Hills International School!

The smooth functioning of any institution is possible only when the parents, students and school are in sync
with each other. Keeping this objective in mind, we seek a complete adherence to school rules and regulations.

Kindly be reiterated of the following:

1. Safety and security of our children is of utmost priority. The time of dispersal is observed to be a time of
great chaos and confusion. Parents arriving early to pick-up their children result in heavy traffic congestion
and the roads getting blocked due to the vehicles parked outside the school.

As per the strict orders of the traffic department, to avert any mishap during dispersal, you are requested
to strictly adhere to the following guidelines:

• Walker parents to come only after 2:15 p.m. Gates will be opened for them only after all the buses
leave. This will give the parents enough parking spaces.
• Cars parked outside the school before 2:15 p.m. will be towed away. The school will not be held
responsible for the same or any other untoward mishap.
• Vehicles should not be parked right in front of the school gate.
• Avoid crowding at the gate which creates inconvenience to one and all.
If any parent wishes to volunteer his services in managing the traffic on the road, it will be highly
appreciated.
• Students will be handed over ONLY to the PARENTS who must carry the hard copy of the pick-up card.
No other person should be deputed to pick up the child. Please note that no excuses will be
appreciated in the absence of pick-up card which leads to unpleasant situation for the teachers on
duty as well as for parents.
• In case car-pooling is being availed by a group of parents, hand-written applications have to be
submitted in the school office by all the parents with photographs of the person coming to pick up
the children. All the parents are also required to meet the concerned school authorities personally.
• In case of a child going home on his/her own, a hand-written application has to be submitted by the
parent and the concerned authority to be met in person. The Yellow Card will be issued after the
completion of the required procedure.
• Early pick up of the children is not permissible during school hours. In case of an emergency,
Principal’s permission has to be sought. (Refer to the Information for parents in the school Almanac)

1
2. Late arrival after 7:50 am will not be allowed. Parents are required to meet the Principal to state the reason
for the same. School gate closes at 7:50 am sharp for walkers.
3. Walker parents to drop the students at senior wing gate only in the morning. Please refrain from
dropping the students at the junior wing gate which is dedicated for the bus students.
4. Lunch boxes, water bottles or any other belongings of the child are not allowed at the school reception
during school hours (Refer to the Information for parents in the school Almanac).
5. For the Principal, Vice-Principal, Coordinators, teachers, school hours are dedicated to the children.
Meetings with parents with any of the concerned persons can be scheduled after school hours, with prior
appointment.
