Action Research Title:

Enhancing Grade 8 Students Active Classroom Participation in Discussions through Turn and Talk
method.

Introduction:

The study is all about employing some teaching strategies in order to address the Enhancing Grade 8
Students Active Classroom Participation in Discussions through Turn and Talk method.The study created
to the scenario that has been observed by the researchers. The study focuses on the strategies that
need to be employed to enhance of the students. Classroom participation is an important method of
learning. Learning is not just between the student and the teacher but a part of whole classroom
experience. Students learn best when learning is active. When the students are actively engaged in the
learning process, the outcome is better. The knowledge, values and attitudes are acquired better when
active learning takes place. The students who actively participate in the class learn more than those who
do not. Participation in the class also reflects how much the student like the lesson.

Action Research Questions:

1. How the students more engage in active classroom discussion?

2. What are the advantage and disadvantage of active classroom discussion?

3. What are the solutions to enhance the active classroom participation of the pupils in teacher and
student discussion?
