Skill Level: Intermediate Beginner
Materials:
• Yarn: Any medium/worsted weight yarn of your choice, Orange, Brown, &
Green
I used: Red Heart Super Saver (Pumpkin, Coffee, & Spring Green)
• 3.50 hook (E)
• Stitch marker
• Stuffing
• Tapestry needle
Finished size: is 3" wide and 2½” tall
Size depends on what type of yarn and hook you use.

Abbreviations:
• MR: magic ring
• ch: chain
• st: stitch
• sl st: slip stitch
• sc: single crochet
• inc: increase
• dec: decrease
• hdc: half double crochet
• BLO: back loop
• FO: fasten off
• * repeat*
Notes:
Pattern is worked in continuous rounds. Use a stitch marker to keep track.
Let’s Begin!
Pumpkin: Orange
Row 1: ch15, hdc in the 2nd ch from the hook, hdc
across, turn (14)
Row 2: ch1, hdc in the 2nd st, then go back and
work hdc in the first st*, turn (14) (see pic) 1st hdc 2nd hdc
Row 3: ch1, hdc across (14)
Rows 4-23: repeat rows 2-3 (14)
Row 24: repeat row 2 (14)
FO, leaving a long tail about 24” long. You will use this for sewing the sides, top,
and bottom of the pumpkin.

Fold the piece in half and using a tapestry needle whipstitch. Do not FO.
1. Weave the yarn in and out on the top edge. Pull tightly to close the bottom
secure with a knot. Do not FO.
2. Weave the yarn up to the other side, fill with stuffing and repeat step 2
making sure to finish stuffing before you sew it close.
3. Shape the pumpkin by inserting the needle with yarn through the center
wrap the tail over the sides of the pumpkin insert the needle through the
bottom hole then push needle back through the top hole and pull tightly.
Do this to make 6 sections. FO, weave in tail.

Stem: Brown
Rnd 1: 6sc in MR, sl st (6)
Rnd 2: BLO, ch1, sc around, sl st (6)
Rnds 3-7: ch1, sc around, sl st (6)
Rnd 8: ch4, sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook, sc, sc, sc back to the stem (6x)
FO, leaving a tail for sewing the stem on top of the pumpkin.

Leaves: Green
Leaving a tail about 5” long *ch6, sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook, sc, hdc, hdc, sl
st* (2x). FO, leaving a 5” long tail for tying around the stem.
