Meeting Minutes
February 20, 2024

1. Meeting called to order (Mrs. Heinlen)

2. Approval of minutes January Anna Sowell made a motion to approve, Tina
Klainer seconded – minutes approved.
3. New Business:
a. Changed back to a 5 day specialists with a new PLC schedule
b. SPP Act 2 approved by Region/District
c. DMC Budget – still in the approval process, some staff interviewing so no
news of who is being cut from staff as of today.
d. Pickle Ball Court is almost ready for scheduled build – district is holding
up paperwork.
e. Imboden has developed a list for PTA to fund for next year. Team
discussed Mystery Science and that the rigor is not there, FOSS is a better
program and Mystery Science doesn’t provide the spiral needed. Team
discussed that there is no time to implement Amplify with HMH and
Envision – the program is 40-60 minutes per day – 5 days a week.
f. If Hydroponics and Garden cannot be funded through a community
business it will be cut from Green Our Planet and given solely to our staff.
A discussion took place as to who would water and maintain it during the
summer months? $1650 may be worth it to have it taken care year round.
4. Community Questions (related to the agenda) Q: From SOT: Does the district
pay for discovery, if so there is a mystery science component in it.
