Record-breaking distance:
The Amritsar-Jamnagar Expressway, which is under construction, will be the longest ever

inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi last year in July.

Rs 80,000 crore project

This highway is a massive undertaking with a project value estimated to be around Rs 80,000
crore. It's being built under the Bharatmala Pariyojana initiative, a flagship program aimed at
improving India's national highway network. The highway is also being called the Amritsar
Jamnagar Economic Corridor.
