How do I use Search filters?

Search filters allow you to refine and customize your search, in order to streamline the number of
records displayed within the search grid. This allows you to quickly access the most relevant
records.

Quick steps
Review a module’s Search screen filters
1. Go to your chosen module’s Search screen.
2. Click on the filter strip drop-down menu and scroll through the sub menus to review the
available filter options.

Filter strip options vary between modules.

Note: Some modules have a single exclusive ‘blue’ filter that when used will override all other
filter criteria.

3. Select a Search filter.

4. Click on the Plus button to add another filter.
5. For each filter you add, complete the adjacent search data (when available) to refine your

search. These options may include the Operator*, free text fields, sub filters, tick boxes, date
fields etc.
* See the Appendix for more information
6. Click on the Find button and review your search results in the grid.

Tip: to remove a filter, click on the adjacent Minus button.

Click on the Reset button to undo the filter layout and start again.

Color Categories: Selecting the same color category for each of the filters will change the
results to ‘and / or’. In the below example, companies with names starting with either A or X
will populate:
