Day Two Activity

1. What are some things you are looking forward to this year at La Puente High School?
What are some worries and/or concerns you have about the new semester? (4-5
sentences)

Some things that i am looking forward to this year at La Puente High School are learning new
things. I am also looking forward to my marching show for band and colorguard. Some worries
and concerns that I have for the new semester are my grades. Hopefully they won’t drop
dramatically. I am also concerned about falling behind on my classes.

2. What has been your experience with English classes? Has it been positive or negative?
Explain. (5-6 sentences)

My experience with English classes is okay. I am good with it but sometimes not the best.
Reading out loud out of a book sometimes is kind of complicated. I stutter when I read out loud
but I am trying. So it's not either positive or negative, it's in the middle.

3. Research Prompt: Look up a future job that you are interested in. What would it take to
do that job? What are some requirements (schooling, trainings, credentials, permits) that
you would need to get hired and to succeed at your job? (6-7 sentences)

I would like to be on Broadway someday as my job. I wouldn’t need schooling in order to do that
profession. But it is recommended that to at least have a bachelor's degree in theater or dramatic
arts. But if that doesn’t work out, I would love to teach dance for kids. That would be something
I am interested in going as a backup plan. I would also have to get my masters degree in fine arts.
Going back to Broadway, I don't really need schooling, maybe training but I just need talent and
good luck.

4. Talk about YOU. How would you describe yourself? What kind of person are you? If you
could summarize who you are, what would be 2 or 3 words that would describe you? (6-8
sentences)
How I would describe myself is reliable and responsible. I am the type of person you could go to
if you need anything, help with something or even advice on something. I am very responsible
with anything and very dependent on myself. I am very good at having leadership skills. I think
people could see myself as very responsible and reliable with multiple things. I am very hard
working.
