Lagu ini bermakna tentang seorang pria yang menemukan wanita yang menginginkan
dirinya apa adanya, tidak harus menjadi manusia super, superhero, atau apapun selain
menjadi dirinya sendiri yang bisa diandalkan kapanpun.
Something Just Like This sendiri memiliki arti “(Sesuatu) yang seperti ini” dan di dalam lagu
ini dijelaskan bahwa “yang seperti ini” yang dimaksud adalah seseorang tersebut apa adanya
