Recommended exercises from Grinstead and Snell

These exercises are not required but provide valuable chances to practice techniques from the
course. Practice is an important part of building mathematical skills, so I highly recommend
trying some of these problems to solidify your understanding. The odd-numbered problems
have solutions available on the textbook webpage, but make sure not to read them before
trying the problems yourself. (It is usually much easier to understand a solution to a math
problem than to solve it yourself, so reading the solutions too soon can give you a false sense of
security.)
