Parent’s Prayer

Loving Father, our source of love, from You everything comes. We thank You for

all the blessings we have received, especially our children whom You have guided and

have grown in love and beauty. May we, as parents, whom You have chosen to be a

mother or a father to them be reflections of Your loving and compassionate heart, as

You have shown Your love to all of us. Give us strength that we may persevere to

continue to love them to be a light to their path and guardians to their lives, as You have

entrusted them to us like You entrusted Your Son, Jesus, to be blessed Virgin Mary and

Joseph. Give us compassionate heart that we may understand them in their life’s struggle

and difficulties, in their confusions and anxieties, and in their frailties and weakness.

May our merciful hearts who awaits a repentant child and in the same way, that Jesus

had forgiven Peter to be their inspiration after he denied Him three times. Make us more

loving that we may see Your best plans for them. Wherever our child be led by the Holy

Spirit, to You we entrust them with our whole selves. In whatever path they may take,

may Your will be done. We loved our children as You loved us. We trust our children as

You have trusted us. We care for our children as You cared for all of us. To You we lift

up everything in Jesus’ name and through the intercession of the Blessed Mother.
