I am Siva a/l Rajanoran, serving as an Assistant Director at the Digital Education

Policy Unit, Division of Educational Resources and Technology. With 13 years of

teaching experience, I currently reside in Puchong. My interest in Tamil literature
serves as the foundation for the selection of this research topic. As is commonly
known, the current generation is more inclined towards using gadgets rather than
engaging in reading practices. Consequently, the skill of writing short stories among
students is declining. Therefore, I aim to develop a module to address this issue.

The problem statement for this study is as follows: Students lack interest in writing
short stories. Students and teachers do not have a specific module or guidelines for
short story writing. Teachers are still unclear about choosing methods for teaching
short story writing.
