Learning Standard 2.1 Multiplication of fractions

3.1 Mixed operations of decimals.

Content Standard (i) Multiply any proper fractions and mixed numbers by proper fractions
and mixed numbers

(ii) Multiply and divide decimals by whole numbers and decimals, the
answer up to three decimal places, involving daily situations.

Lesson Objective 1. Pupils will be able to make corrections on their mistakes.

Success Criteria 1. Make corrections for at least 5 mistakes.

Activities 1. Teacher greets the pupils and does some housekeeping.


2. Several pupils are chosen to recite the times table from 1-7.
3. Pupils are returned their test papers.
4. Teacher goes through the questions which they’ve answered wrongly.
5. Teacher discusses the all the questions in the test.
6. Pupils check their answers and make corrections.

Reflection / Impact: 14 / 18 pupils achieved the lesson objective.

Sachwina, Emran, Jeremy and Aleesya were absent.

1. Teacher catches up with them and does some housekeeping.
2. Teacher writes down the phonics they will learn today.

3. He elicits responses from the pupils for each of the sound.
4. He writes down the words on the board.
5. The teacher guides the pupils to read the words, paying attention to
the pronunciation.
6. Pupils write down the words into their book.
Closure:
7. Teacher sums up the lesson by reviewing the phonics.

meanings.
3. Follow the instructions in the Teacher’s Book for Warm up and
Vocabulary (CD2, Track 75). Pupils check their answers to step2 at this
point.
4. Follow the instructions in the Teacher’s Book for Activity 1 (CD2, Track
76).
5. Optional: Follow the instructions in the Teacher’s Book for Grammar Box.
Pupils may have used shouldn’t in the previous lesson, but it is helpful to
review it again in this lesson. Follow the instructions in the Teacher’s Book
for Activity 2.
Post-lesson
6. Review pupils’ learning with a mime game. Focus in particular on pupils’
ideas in stage 6.
