Activities Pre-lesson:
1. Teacher reviews the phonics 7 lesson they learnt previously.
2. He talks about the importance of pronouncing properly.
Activities:
3. Teacher introduces phonics 8 and 9 to the pupils.
4. He plays a video for them to listen to the pronunciation.
5. He writes down the phonics on the board and elicits their responses on
some examples.
6. He guides them to read through the list of words.
7. Pupils write down the words into their exercise book.
Closure:
8. They work on an exercise on the phonics in their workbook.

Lesson Objective 1. Pupils will be able to state events whether it’s likely or unlikely to occur.

Success Criteria 1. Answer at least 3 statements correctly.

Activities 1. Teacher greets the pupils and does some housekeeping.


2. Several pupils are chosen to recite the times table from 1-7.
3. Teacher goes through the questions which they’ve answered wrongly.
4. Teacher introduces the topic of Likelihood and provides some examples.
5. Pupils are selected randomly to give examples of events while their friends
will answer whether it’s like or unlikely to happen.
6. Pupils work on the exercises in their textbook as reinforcement.

Reflection / Impact: 11 / 11 pupils achieved the lesson objective.

Pre-lesson
1. Choose a pre-lesson task to introduce the topic of the reading text you have
chosen.
Lesson delivery
2. Follow the instructions in the Teacher’s Book for Warm up, Vocabulary, Activity
1
and Activity 2.
3. Ask pupils to guess the meaning of some unknown words in the text, based on
their knowledge of the topic. They could check these in the dictionary.
4. Follow up the Student’s Book activities with an activity to extend the chosen
topic,
where pupils react to the text either using spoken or written language.
Post-lesson
5. Finish the lesson with a post-lesson activity to review the text, such as a
true/false
quiz.

4. Teacher goes through the questions which they’ve answered wrongly.
5. Teacher introduces the topic of volume of composite shape.
6. Pupils look at the examples on the board and in their book for illustrations.
7. Pupils work on the exercises in their textbook as reinforcement.

Reflection / Impact: 14 / 16 achieved the lesson objective with teacher’s guidance.
