Assessment Description

To differentiate between research designs and determine which design is the best fit for the
problem statement, purpose statement, and research questions, it is helpful to explore a
minimal framework of several designs. Throughout this course, you will explore several designs
for your potential dissertation research study. In this assignment, you will explore the possibility
of conducting your proposed dissertation research study using a qualitative descriptive design.

● This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the

● Doctoral learners are required to use APA style for their writing assignments. The APA

● Refer to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association for specific
guidelines related to doctoral-level writing. The manual contains essential information on
manuscript structure and content, clear and concise writing, and academic grammar and
usage.
● This assignment requires that at least seven additional scholarly research sources
related to this topic, and at least one in-text citation from each source be included. Must
be empirical sources.
