amended in 2005, I, Dr. Sneha S. Gitte, IAS, District

lane near the Ferry wharf at Panaji as “Parking for
election duty vehicles only” within the jurisdiction
of Corporation of the City of Panaji in Tiswadi
Taluka.
Further, in exercise of the powers conferred on
me under section 116 of the above Act, I also
authorize the erection of traffic signboards “Parking
for election duty vehicles only” in order to regulate
the motor vehicular traffic.
The Superintendent of Police (Traffic), Altinho to
erect the temporary signboards at the places
indicated above and deploy sufficient traffic police

the jurisdiction of Village Panchayat Calangute,
Bardez-Goa.

side of the road at the placement of the speed
breaker in order to regulate the motor vehicular
traffic.
The Secretary, Village Panchayat Socorro, Bardez,
is directed to publish this notification through the
Director of Information and Publicity in newspapers
and P.W.D. to make necessary arrangements to erect
the signboards at the places indicated above as
per the specification laid down by the Ministry of
Road Transport and Highways and as published in
the Official Gazette by the Government of Goa and
report compliance within thirty days time.

Conditions:-
1. The above Bus Stops shall be erected, subject to
No Objection from the private land owners if
applicable and the same to be obtained before
commencement of the work by the Managing
Director, Kadamba Transport Corporation Ltd.,
Alto Porvorim, Bardez-Goa.
2. No stage carriage shall take up or set down
passengers except at the place shown as “Bus
Stop”.
3. No stage carriage shall take halt at the “Bus
Stop” for a period longer than necessary to take
up such passengers who are awaiting when the
vehicles arrive and to set down such passengers
as may wish to alight.
4. The Bus Shelters shall not be mounted closed to
the carriage way of the road and provision for
Bus Bay shall be made, so that at no point
vehicular traffic on the main carriage way of the
road is obstructed.
5. The Bus Stop Shelter shall be constructed as per
IRC guidelines.
6. The Bus Stop Shelter shall be disabled person
friendly.
7. Provision shall be made to display bus timings
for convenience of public.
8. Road Safety slogan shall be displayed on the
Bus Stand.
