1 General Health and Safety Policy
All worker involved in the project should be inducted on the Safety,

Health and Environmental Issues before they are allowed to work at the
site.
Ensure the working area is in safe conditions and maintain good
housekeeping.
Ensure to carry out the first aid and emergency response according to
Hazard Risk Assessment.
Equipment and machineries use for transportation and on-site mortar
mixing shall be in good condition and shall have a valid certificate (Third
Party Certificate).
Ensure that proper PPE equipment is provided to all personnel before
entering the site.
Tool-box talks over hazards and risks involved shall be conducted to all
personnel employed in the works prior to starting the activities.
The equipment shall be left in clean condition and free from debris.
Employees shall not be allowed to work above or in positions exposed to
protruding reinforcing steel without proper protection. Protruding steel,
on to and into which employees could fall shall be guarded to eliminate
the hazard of emplacement.
Dangerous exposed protruding steel that can be susceptible of creating
an accident must be covered with a Cap / Cover.
2 Risks
Hazard identification and risk assessment shall be carried out within 2
weeks of mobilization of the project.
Projects shall establish, implement and maintain the on-going
identification of hazards, assessment of their risk and determining the
necessary controls. Keep the records up-to-date and shall be reviewed
periodically.
Job safety analysis shall be done to integrate accepted safety and health
principles and practices into a particular job or task. Each job or task will
be analyzed by breaking them down into distinct steps to identify the
hazards and precautions and implemented with the aim of ensuring a
safe job execution.
3 Health
a. Sanitary Facilities
o All basic sanitary facilities will be available on site.
b. Health Care Facilities
o QU shall provide the number of First aid boxes furnished with the
medicines, tools and equipment. The First Aid box shall be
available in offices of Clients, QU, Satellite and res shelters
depending on number of employees.
o A first aider shall be provided for every 25 workers.

o QU shall appoint a full-time medical nurse at site in addition to the
first-aid box.
4 Safety
a. Induction
o QU will provide sustainability awareness thru induction & Training
of all personnel prior to discharging them of their duties and
responsibilities in the site.
b. Anticipated Risks
o Movement of vehicles & heavy equipment
o Dust accumulation
o Working near excavation and sea
c. Permits and Certification
The following work permits and certificates shall be available in the work
area as
required.
o Lifting permit;
o Working permit for confines space;
o Valid registration, 3rd Party certificates & insurance for heavy
equipment
o Valid licenses and insurances for operators.
d. Inspections
o Heavy equipment shall have third party certifications and shall be
regularly inspected with the approved required daily checklist to
ensure high quality standards and efficient equipment are being
used.
e. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Appropriate PPE shall be worn as per the work required but not limited to the
mandatory PPE.
f. Traffic Plan and regulation
o QU shall submit a Traffic Diversion Plan detailing the required
number of equipment, planning of the works, layout of the access
road, required road signage and to strictly adhere as such;
g. Information dissemination
Health and safety knowledge shall be disseminated and cascaded from top
management to the ordinary workers through:
o Site Induction
o Safety Toolbox
o Bulletin Boards
o Training Courses
o Group Discussions
o Site Instructions
o Engineers, Supervisors & Foreman
h. Site Night Works
o Working in the night shift will be arranged with all the necessary
Safety and Health facilities. Site Representative for supervision
will be available and Client approval will be secured for working
at night.
o QU shall provide lighting to avoid visual fatigue and prevent glare
o During night operations only clear or amber colored safety glasses

shall be worn. Contact lenses are allowed to be worn with eye
protection except while using a respirator.
o In every part of the area under which QU has control and where
persons are working or passing, QU shall ensure lighting, whether
natural or artificial. This measure shall also prevent the
formation of shadows. In particular access & escape routes to be
lighted properly.
o Any general lighting source shall be mounted at a height sufficient
to keep it well above the line of normal vision.
o Any local lighting source shall be mounted and arranged so as to
confine the light to the immediate area to be illuminated.
o Barricade the Hazardous area and use flashing lights.
o Keep combustible materials away from lights.
o Personnel to wear high visibility reflective vest.

5 COVID-19 (Corona virus)
Construction sites operating during the Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic MUST ensure the
workforce is protected and the risk of spread of infection is minimized. The guidance
contained within this document is intended to introduce consistent measures on
sites of all sizes in line with -MoPH)
recommendations on social distancing. The health and safety requirements of any
construction activity MUST also not be compromised at this time. If an activity
cannot be undertaken safely due to a lack of suitably qualified personnel
being available or social distancing being implemented, it should not take place.
a) Site Access point:
1) Stop all non-essential visitors

2) Introduce staggered start and finish times to reduce congestion and contact at all
times
3) Monitor site access points to enable social distancing you may need to change
the number of access points, either increase to reduce congestion or decrease to
enable monitoring
4) Remove or disable entry systems that require skin contact i.e. fingerprint
scanners
5) Require all workers to wash or clean their hands before entering or leaving the
site
6) Allow plenty of space (two meter) between people waiting to enter site
7) Regularly clean common contact surfaces in reception, office, access control and
delivery areas i.e. scanners, turnstiles, screens, telephone handsets, desks,
particularly during peak flow times
8) Reduce the number of people in attendance at site inductions and consider
holding them outdoors wherever possible
9) Drivers should remain in their vehicles if the load will allow it and MUST wash or
clean their hands before unloading goods and materials.
10) Reminding workers not to come to site if they have symptoms of Coronavirus
and to follow recommended guidance.
b) Hand Washing
11) Allow regular breaks for keeping clean and washing hands.
12) Provide additional hand washing facilities to the usual welfare facilities if a large
spread out site or significant numbers of personnel on site.
13) Ensure soap and fresh water is readily available and kept topped up at all times
14) Provide hand sanitizer (minimum 60% alcohol content) where hand washing
facilities are unavailable.
15) Regularly clean the hand washing facilities and check soap and sanitizer levels.
16) Provide suitable and sufficient rubbish bins for hand towels with regular removal
and disposal.

17) Sites will need extra supplies of soap, hand sanitizer and paper towels and these
should be securely stored.
c) Additional PPE requirements (COVID-19)
1) Due to the current situation with Covid-19, all personnel require additional PPE
to be used at all times to prevent spread and to reduce human contact, all
operatives are required to utilise the following PPE alongside their standard kit
(the only exception being that machine operators may remove their masks and
goggles (only all other PPE to remain in use) whilst within the cab and
operating the machine.
2) The additions to the required PPE will act as an additional protective measure
against the potential spread of the disease. The additional PPE detailed within
this section should also be
3) upheld where possible during breaks and resting times. This is mandatory and
enforcement will be paramount.
Additional PPE:
Glasses / goggles.
Latex Gloves (to be worn under protective working gloves).
PPE or Half Mask with Filter.
6 First Aid and Emergency Service Response
The primary responsibility is to preserve life and first aid should be administered if
required and until the emergency services attend.
1) Emergency Response Plans (ERP) including contact details should be kept up to

date.
2) Consideration must also be given to potential delays in emergency services
response, due to the current pressure on resources.
3) Consider preventing or rescheduling high-risk work or providing additional
competent first aider.
We shall notify management of the said fire or accident/incident, either directly in

person or by radio or telephone communication on Emergency Telephone Number:

CERTIFICATE OF WARRANTY.
Contract No AK/NBKA/MB/1423.
Project Name NBKA Mercedes -Benz Service Refurbishment.
Scope of works Supply & Installation of Fire Rated Doors, Fixed Partition and fixed window.
Main Contractor National Industrial Contracting Company.
Client: Nasser Bin Khaled Automobile /National Industrial Contracting. Nabina
FR Contractor Aluminum & Glass Factory.
And whereas by careful examination of the said Fire rated Doors, Fixed Partitions and
fixed windows, it has been determined that the required quantities and specifications of
elements have been used and that elements have been applied in conformance with the
requirements of the contract. Nabina Aluminum & Glass Factory hereby warrants the Fire
rated Doors, Fixed Partitions and fixed windows, against defects in performance,
workmanship, materials and manufacture. Now therefore, Nabina Aluminum & Glass
Factory warrantees to the above mentioned Client that as set forth below, during a period
of time of 10 years, from the date of March 21, 2024, Nabina Aluminum & Glass Factory
will at his own expense make or cause to be made, any repairs to its, elements that may be
necessary, as arise out of defects in performance, workmanship and/or materials, including
cracking, tearing and/or puncture. and shall maintain the Fire rated Doors, Fixed Partitions
and fixed Windows condition free from all arising from such causes, for the duration of the
warranty period.
For various moveable parts in the fire rated system Such as door closer, doorhandle etc.,
the warranty period shall be 2 years as per the manufacturer themselves.
For the purpose of this warranty, damages to the Fire rated doors, Fixed partitions and
fixed windows caused by unusual local natural phenomena shall not be deemed be
"Normal Wear and Tear' by the elements.

Exclusions:
This warranty does not cover, and Nabina Aluminum & Glass Factory shall not be liable for:
• Damage to the installed Fire rated doors, Fixed partitions and fixed windows, caused
by any other party, other than its own personnel.
• Damages to the installed Fire rated doors, Fixed partitions and windows, caused by
repairs or penetrations or modifications to the Fire rated doors, Fixed partitions and
fixed windows by any other party, other than its own personnel.
• Damages caused by fire, failure of the structure (including non-designed/excessive

movement), or misuse of the Fire rated doors , Fixed partitions and fixed windows.
Inspection and Repair:

Upon written notice to his registered office requesting any investigation, inspection or
repairs, Nabina Aluminum & Glass Factory shall inspect the site and start the repair works
following such inspection:
1. Nabina Aluminum & Glass Factory, at its own expense, make such repairs as required by
this Warranty.
2. In case the requested repairs are not covered by this warranty such as, but not limited to,
damages caused by any other parties, Nabina Aluminum & Glass Factory shall make, or
cause to be made, such repairs at the Client expenses in accordance with the specifications
and this warranty shall, thereupon, remain in effect for the unexpired period of its original
terms.
3. If repairs are made by any other party than Nabina Aluminum & Glass Factory designee,
this warranty shall be automatically terminated.
There are no warranties which extend beyond the terms and conditions stated herein.
