Responsibility:

1. As a Pipeline Engineer:
 Internal Corrosion/Integrity of Pipeline.
 Carrying out pigging by launching / retrieval of scrapper in Scrapper barrels at
all stations, pig tracking along pipeline including assembly of Scrapper.
 Assistance providing during Intelligence Pigging.
 Above ground piping UT measurement checked on yearly basis.
  External Corrosion/Cathodic Protection of Pipeline
 Taking care of Permanent Cathodic Protection system of cross-country pipeline
which includes CPPSM Stations and CPTR Stations.
 Preparation of Operation & Maintenance SOPs for carrying out maintenance
activities as per schedule maintenance planner.
 Planning & implementation of preventive maintenance Plan for Equipment
Reliability and safety.
 Carrying out periodic ON/OFF PSP survey to check/ensure the healthiness of
CP system.
 Monthly reading/monitoring of corrosion coupons.
 Inspection & maintenance of TRU/CPPSM Panels
 Maintenance of AJB, IJ, Anode beds. The efficacy of anode beds & others
grounding cells like zinc anodes, magnesium anodes is being carried out, to
ensure the proper functioning of the same & about its consumption.
 Maintaining of Circuit resistance & any other CP parameters within permissible
limits as per standard guidelines.
 Ensure proper working of Interrupters with synchronization with all CP
stations.
 Coordinate with clients for review and approve CP documents / drawings.
 Rectification of short casing locations has been done.
 Mitigation work for various problems comprises Interference, Very High
Potential, HVDC/HT Crossing, and Presence of nearby Metallic Structure,
failure of Reference Cell etc.
 To present various technical aspects & proposals of cathodic protection system
to enhance Protection and efficiency level of existing CP system.
 Mitigation of High Potential, High Grounding Anode Resistance, and High
Induced AC Voltage.
 Application of Coating Work (Cold Tape) on Pipeline section if Coating found
damage or if it required.
 Checking / Inspection of Pipeline by Bell Hole method.

2. As a Maintenance Incharge:
 Preparation of Operation & Maintenance SOPs for carrying out maintenance
activities as per schedule maintenance planner.
 Planning & implementation of preventive maintenance Plan for Equipment
Reliability and safety.
 Pre-Commission& Commission of gas metering skids and shutdown activities
on running customer skids.
 PCV/SDV checking and Maintenance job at customer skids.
 Pre-monsoon & Post monsoon activities were carried out for electrical system.
 Prepare the Check list of Electrical, Mechanical and Instrumentation
equipment’s.
 Shutdown Maintenance activities was carried out like Cleaning / tightening of
MV/LV busbar, Transformer Oil filtration etc.
  Trouble shooting of various electrical equipment was also carried out like
repair of APFC panel, SMPS in Chabbi battery chargers & Air cooled SVRs.
 Load test of battery banks and also to identify the weak cells from the bank &
get it replaced with healthy cell to upkeep, enhance the battery bank back up.
 Maintenance of earth pits
 Ensuring proper rating of MCB/ELCB/fuses etc. for effective protection of
system
 RCA preparation and implementation of suggestions to protect the equipment.
 Maintenance of DG set by carrying out periodic checks like B check/C check/D
check.
 Project planning, scheduling and monitoring the progress by making scheduled
v/s actual progress reports.
