special holiday to be known as National Women's Day.
Memorandum Circular No. 2023-01, titled Guide for the 2022 National Women’s
Month Celebration
III. BACKGROUND/RATIONALE
In accordance with Division Memorandum No. 103, s. 2023 titled 2023 National
Women’s Month Celebration, the school will conduct various activities to raise
awareness about the NWMC with the theme, “WE for gender equality and inclusive
society” along with the official hashtag of #WEcanbeEquAll. The celebration aims for
deep economic and social transformation that is inclusive in an environment that
provides equal opportunities to all Filipinos equipping them with skills to participate fully
in an innovative and globally competitive economy. Furthermore, several activities to be
held are congruent to the NWMC targets, which are to inform and engage women and
everyone to push for gender-responsive government programs and services that
empower women to contribute to nation-building; to provide platforms to share good
practices and address gaps, challenges, and commitments in pursuing GAD for further
strengthen the implementation of the Magna Carta of Women towards its milestone 15 th
year in 2024; to inspire women and girls to empower themselves and take on leadership
roles, opportunities, and benefits toward maximizing their full potential and enabling
them to reap the fruits of gender equality; and promote a society that ensures
inclusions, protection of fundamental freedoms, diversity, and social justice and in which
every individual, each with rights and responsibilities, is capacitated and encouraged to
take an active role to play.
Overall, the overarching goal of this celebration is women and girls toward
maximizing their benefit from innovation and technology and bridging the gender gap in
ICT and connectivity that is aligned with the priority theme of the 67 th session of the
United Nation Commission on the Status of Women, “innovation and technological
change, and education in the digital age for achieving gender equality and the
empowerment of all women and girls”.

The GFPS Head and Members will facilitate various activities respectively with
the support of the Junior and Senior High School Teachers. The student-participants will
be reminded to follow the health and safety protocols. After all the activities, awarding of
medals and certificates will be ensued.

1. The contest is open to all bona fide students at Sta. Rosa National High School.
B. MECHANICS
1. The theme for this school year celebration is “WE for gender equality and
inclusive society”.
2. Materials to be used are one-half white cartolina, pencil, marker, and any art medium.
3. All artworks must be done on the spot and must be completed within one and a half
hour.

1. Entry must be anchored to, “Innovation and technological change, and education in
the digital age for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and
girls”, strictly following the Mannequin Challenge.
2. Each entry should be composed of a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 members
including the photographer.
3. Photo must be taken within the school premises.
4. Photo must be original, colored, and was not digitally altered.
5. The entry to be submitted should be a JPEG or PNG format with corresponding photo
title and caption.
6. Deadline of Submission will be on March 21, 2023, at exactly 10:00 A.M. to Mr.
Jayson G. Pineda or Ms. Carisma R. Dela Cruz.
