Illegal to grant bail for limited period after concluding accused entitled to it pending trial: Supreme CourtThe
Supreme Court has ruled that granting bail for a limited duration is illegal and violates the right to liberty. The
court made this observation while hearing a plea filed by a man facing charges under the NDPS Act. The court
noted that granting bail for a limited duration puts an additional burden on the accused and forces them to file a
fresh bail application. The court modified the high court order and directed that the appellant shall be granted
bail until the final disposal of the case.105698240
