School counseling and guidance services are essential for all students. According to
Tumanggor (2020), guidance and counseling services in schools require direction from the
principal's, which aims to make all components of the schoolwork achieve the goals planned. The
director's guidance is critical for leading and coaching students in order to help them grow as
people. The study aims to help senior high school students grow as individuals through the impact
of principal leadership in guidance and counseling services. Counseling and good leadership can
achieve this. This statement is a policy claim, as it states that guidance and counseling are two of
the programs for students' self-development. Schools have diverse individuals and function as
complex systems, requiring additional support services like guidance and counseling for problem-
solving. The study aims to investigate the role of principal leadership in student self-development
guidance and counseling services.

Summarizing the overall research paper of the author, the study article explores the
connection between principal leadership in guidance and counseling services and student self-
development in senior high schools. The results showed a direct relationship between principal
leadership and student self-development, suggesting that strong leadership in counseling services
may boost student self-growth. The research highlighted the essential role of principals in aiding

and advance the future development of this topic. The research discovered a direct correlation

development of students. This assertion implies that competent leadership from principals in

and weaknesses, so that they can understand themselves, accept, guide, and make the right
decisions in planning career and life. It becomes apparent that the claims used by the researcher
are factual and policy claims, where he further expounds the favorable correlation between the
leadership of school principals in providing guidance and counseling services and the self-
development of students. This assertion implies that competent leadership from principals in
offering guidance and counseling services may enhance the personal growth of pupils. Principals
may significantly impact students' self-development by creating a supportive and empowering
atmosphere.
The main point of the author's view is that the smooth running of advice and counseling
services is an important part of this process. The author says that schools should be proactive about
how they set up their programs to make guidance and counseling services more useful by pushing
for the planning of specific activities. Basically, the sentence supports the author's view that
students need a well-organized and complete educational system, especially when it comes to
advice and therapy, to grow as individuals. This factual claim supported by Armstrong et. al.

In conclusion, this study highlights the role of the principal as a leader. The principal has a
central role in motivating all school personnel to achieve the educational goals. Aims to improve
and have a positive relationship with students' self-development through functional guidance
counseling and leadership implementation. In addition, to emphasize guidance and counseling, all
components of the school must work together to achieve the goals planned.
