“Azure Horizons: Designing a Beach Resort Retreat in Palawan”

Experience Nature at its Best
Puerto Prinsesa, Palawan

Guidelines for the MTP

Brief:

As an architect, you are commissioned to design "Azure Horizons," a visionary architectural

project that embraces the breathtaking beauty of Palawan's coastal paradise. This endeavor is
a celebration of nature's splendor, encapsulated within the design of a luxurious beach resort
retreat that harmonizes seamlessly with its surroundings.

The inspiration behind "Azure Horizons" lies in the azure blue waters, golden sands, and lush
greenery that define Palawan's pristine coastline. This project seeks to create a haven where
guests can immerse themselves in the serenity of the natural environment while enjoying the
epitome of comfort and luxury.

The concept revolves around integrating the resort seamlessly into the coastal landscape,
preserving the natural ecosystem while providing an unparalleled experience for visitors. Open
spaces, fluid lines, and sustainable architecture are key elements, ensuring a harmonious
coexistence between human creation and nature's wonders.

Project Site Features:

The site is a 1-hectare rectangular lot facing a 15.00 meters RROW on its north side and a
beachfront on its south side. Its long sides facing east and west, measure 125.00 meters. The
short side facing 15 meters RROW & beachfront is 80.00 meters. Based on the latest city
ordinance, the property is an agricultural area and must comply with the development control
limitations imposed by the National Building Code on this easement along water bodies.
