The Journeyman’s Mindset
The Apostle Paul was a journeyman, just
like the holy men before him. He followed
in the footsteps of Jesus, Who traveled
from Capernaum to Jerusalem. Abraham,
in like manner, traveled from Haran into
the land of Canaan, looking for a city not
made by human hands but built by God.

Paul knew that spiritual people are

journeymen, called out and commissioned into a spiritual
adventure. His own journey started on the road to Damascus,
where He encountered Jesus in a heavenly vision. Jesus
apprehended him that day. Paul became a spiritual journeyman
that day and that apprehension, his reason for living. He would
later state his life-goal in the following words, “...I follow after,
if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended
of Christ Jesus.”

What about you? Have you been apprehended? Have you

been made a journeyman yet? Jesus made Andrew, Peter,
James and John journeymen with these words, “Follow me,
and I will make you fishers of men.”

Has He called you out also to follow Him? Then you are a
journeyman. It is with this mindset that you should engage the
rest this year. You are a journeyman and you must engage
your journey with a greater fervency, so that you apprehend
that for which also you were apprehended of Christ Jesus.

Forget those things which are behind you: There are still much
to do and become.

Scripture reading: Philippians 3:12-14

Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for
which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do,
forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark
for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Not To Be A Busybody
The scripture is abundantly clear that we,
Christians should “study to be quiet.” The
Greek word for study is ‘philotimeomai’ and for
quiet, ‘hēsychazō.’ ‘Philotimeoma’ means ‘to
be ambitious and to strive earnestly, making
it one’s aim.’ ‘Hēsychazō’ means ‘to keep
still , refrain from labor, meddlesomeness or
speech and mind your own business.’

For many this command is very difficult

because they are so spiritually idle that they become proficient
at being busybodies. The apostle Paul again said of these, “For
we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly,
working not at all, but are busybodies.” Refrain from meddling your
thinking and tongue into other people’s business. Become so busy
in God’s assignment that you have no spare capacity to develop a
spiritually idle mind and thus become a busybody. Busybodyness
will lead you into judging others and cause you to be judged
yourself.

Of judging others the scripture warns starkly, “Therefore thou art

inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein
thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that
judgest doest the same things. But we are sure that the judgment
of God is according to truth against them which commit such
things. And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which
do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the
judgment of God? Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness
and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness
of God leadeth thee to repentance? But after thy hardness and
impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day
of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Who will
render to every man according to his deeds:”

Today, go to the house of God to minister unto Him and not to be a

busybody. Will you do that? It is time to worship Jesus!

Scripture reading: 2 Thessalonians 3:11-15

For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. Now them that
are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread. But
ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing. And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no
company with him, that he may be ashamed. Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

Counted Among Them
All the heroes of faith were exhibitors
of active faith in God, often in a time of
crisis and uncertainty. At times following
instructions that seem impossible. And
choosing to believe God in the face of
incredible odds.

When Abraham and his wife were dead,

as far as child producing went, Abraham
believed and Sarah conceived.

This is the power of faith in God: a simple belief that God can
be trusted and as a result, doing what He puts into the heart.
Miracles babies came, giants were overcome, wars won, the
sick healed and destinies changed. God is still the same and
can be trusted likewise, by those who today exercise like
precious faith. We have the bible heroes as an example of
God’s goodness and faithfulness towards them, who dared to
depend on Him. Who do you depend on?

About all the bible heroes, the scripture says, “And these all,
having obtained a good report through faith...”

You too can obtain a good report through faith and be counted
among them. Paul said that God gave you the measure of faith.
Peter furthermore confirmed that the Christian has obtained
like precious faith. It is your faith in Jesus that overcomes this
world with its challenges.

This month, exercise your like precious faith and obtain a

good report from God.

Scripture reading: 2 Peter 1:-2

Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the
righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God,

Words Of The Wise
Solomon said, “The words of the wise are
as goads, and as nails fastened by the
masters of assemblies, which are given
from one shepherd. And further, by these,
my son, be admonished: of making many
books there is no end; and much study is
a weariness of the flesh.”

What was he saying? The words of the

wise are like nails firmly fixed in masterful array, by a master
craftsman: nails provided by one shepherd. These words of
the wise are certain in their outcome and although given at
different times and in diverse sayings, are perfectly arrayed
to form a single clear structure, put together by a master
assembler and by the commission of a single shepherd.

In other words, Jesus, the Great Shepherd, will provide an

array of wise sayings to be given to you at diverse times.
These sayings, when fastened into your heart and way of
life, will form a single array to support the structure of your
life’s purpose and destiny. It may look random at first, but
with closer inspection and most definitely in retrospect, will
prove to be the work of the master assembler, the Holy Spirit.
The wise will continue to coin their wise sayings but your
study and pursuit of the same, may weary you but the fruits
are worth every bit of it.

Importantly, note that your purpose and destiny will be under-

girded and secured by wise sayings. As it is written, “Every
purpose is established by counsel...”

Are the words of the wise finding your heart and life?

Scripture reading: Ecclesiastes 12:11-12

The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one
shepherd. And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a

Gather The Intel
The book of Numbers records the following,
“And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Send thou men, that they may search the land
of Canaan, which I give unto the children of
Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye
send a man, every one a ruler among them.”

Canaan was the land of promise. It was their

promised inheritance from God. When they
were about to engage their promise, God had Moses send out
intelligence gatherers into the arena of their elevation.

Joshua who succeeded Moses would later do the same. The bible
says, “And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to
spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho. And they went,
and came into an harlot’s house, named Rahab, and lodged there.”

Nehemiah, when he was about to tackle his big project, went on a

intelligence gathering mission first. We do not have the space to
discuss that here.

Learn to gather intelligence about where God is taking you. If He

promised you a healing ministry, first research the land of healing
so that He can expand your imagination and provoke living faith
within you. You will find yourself making definite progress, towards
fulfillment of your promise and prophecy.

Start by praying through your promise or prophecy from God. Get

alone and talk to God, about what you found out about your land
of promise. Do this ASAP after you receive the promise. He was
interested in that topic, at that time. And you should, during the
same time period, respond in kind by gathering intel.

Scripture reading: Numbers 13:1-2

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the
children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them.

Another ‘Seem’
The scripture says, “There is a way that
seems right unto man, but the end of that
way are the ways of death.”

Things are not what they seem. ‘Seem’

cannot just only be deceptive but also
expensive. This is the difficultly in
decision making. Most people are left
only with ‘seem’ from which to choose a way. Many are wise
in their own eyes and find themselves later at a dead-end,
with no recourse. The ability to see the end of a potential
course of action is invaluable.

The scripture is clear in saying, “For we walk by faith, not by

sight.” The ‘seem’ of the five senses is not how the Christian
moves forward into their future.

Faith in God is the way to take. God has His own outlook. He
says, “I will guide thee with mine eye.” God is never wrong.
You can provoke His viewpoint by putting your faith in Him
to guide you.

Use the eyes of the Spirit to survey the future and walk in the
light of His countenance. The apostles entered this kind of
‘seem’ which is not of the senses but faith: It is written, “For
it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us...”

The rest of this year lay before you. Ponder the paths you
take and make sure that you choose the way that seems
right, not only to you but also the Holy Spirit.

Scripture reading: Acts 15:28

Believe I7:7
The bibles records that during the time of
Isaiah, the prophet, enemies stood up against
the descendants of David, to tempt and destroy
them. It is written, “And it came to pass in the
days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of
Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of
Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king
of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war
against it, but could not prevail against it. And
it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is
confederate with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart
of his people, as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind.”

Their enemies were relentless and made a pact to destroy them.

King Ahaz was so distressed by the news that his heart was moved
and therefore also the heart of his people. They were now being
swayed by every negative rumour. God then spoke through the
Prophet Isaiah and said, “Then said the LORD unto Isaiah, Go forth
now to meet Ahaz...And say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet;
fear not, neither be fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking
firebrands...Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall
it come to pass. For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head
of Damascus is Rezin; and within threescore and five years shall
Ephraim be broken, that it be not a people...If ye will not believe,
surely ye shall not be established.”

Ahaz was told by God that he has to take heed to the prophecy,
and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted. Because if he will
not believe, his kingdom will not stand. However, if he believes, the
plans of the enemies will not stand, neither come to pass.

Today, we exhort you to never allow rumours or evil plans to move

your heart, as the trees of the woods are moved with the wind.
Believe God’s voice and that evil shall not stand, neither shall it
come to pass.

Recover Your Heart
We previously looked at God’s prophecy
and promise to King Ahaz, through the
Prophet Isaiah, “Thus saith the Lord
GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it
come to pass.”

This, after his heart was being strongly

moved, by the rumors and news from his
enemies. God told him that the plan of his
enemies will not stand nor come to pass. He only had to be
believe to be secure.

The Lord, in His mercies, prescribed to Ahaz the steps

necessary to move his doubting heart into a place of faith,
so that God can help him against his enemies.

The prophet told him to:

1. Take heed. Ahaz had to be on guard and alert to hear
every instruction from God.
2. Be quiet. He had to move his heart into a place of
tranquility and rest, where he can be still and know that
the Lord alone is God.
3. Fear not. He should no longer be wavering and afraid of
his enemy’s threats and ability to destroy.
4. Neither be fainthearted. Ahaz was loosing strength
because of a volatile heart, caused by the threatening
circumstance. God was telling him to recover from
that weakened disposition and no longer respond in a
mollified manner.

From today, recover your heart: Take heed, and be quiet;

fear not, neither be fainthearted.

Scripture reading: Isaiah 7:3-4

Then said the LORD unto Isaiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shearjashub thy son, at the end of the conduit of the
upper pool in the highway of the fuller’s field; And say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted
for the two tails of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.

Dwell There
David said, “One thing have I desired of
the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may
dwell in the house of the Lord all the days
of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord,
and to enquire in his temple.”

The psalmist expressly said, “Blessed are

they that dwell in thy house: they will be
still praising thee.”

They not only wanted to go to God’s house but to dwell there.

The word, ‘dwell’ used there is the Hebrew word ‘yâšaḇ’ which
means, ‘remain, abide, inhabit and wait.’ It is not enough to
just go to the house of the Lord. You need to desire to dwell
there: to inhabit the house of the Lord. For that is the way you
will experience the glory and voice of the Lord. The bible says
about the boy Samuel: where the ark of God was, Samuel was
laid down to sleep. And of Joshua it is written, “...Joshua, the
son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.”

What will be said of you? By revelation the psalmist went on

to say, “For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had
rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell
in the tents of wickedness. For the LORD God is a sun and
shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will
he withhold from them that walk uprightly.”

Are you ready for God to be your sun and shield? Are you
ready for grace and glory where no good thing is withheld
from you? Then begin to dwell there [in the tabernacle].

Scripture reading: Psalm 84:4

Guard For His Voice
Jesus said, “...he that entereth in by the door is
the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter
openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he
calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth
them out. And when he putteth forth his own
sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep
follow him: for they know his voice.”

The Lord was talking about the effect of His

voice versus that of a stranger. He mentioned
that the strange voice acts like a thief and will not enter by the door,
unless the porter permits him to. Porter means ‘watchman or guard.’
The ability of God’s voice to enter the heart of a man, in order to
lead him out, is subject to whatever or whoever is guarding the heart
of man. The scripture says, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out
of it are the issues of life.”

The following makes a big difference in recognizing the Great

Shepherd voice: You must be on guard for His voice and not against
a strange voice. Many Christians struggle to find His voice, to lead
them out of the issues they are facing in life. This is simply because
they are guarding in the negative. It is like a bank teller afraid of
being deceived by fake notes and thus practices his discernment
on fake notes. Those who are deeply au fait with the genuine can
naturally spot the fake. Shift to positive guarding for His voice. How
do we make that shift? The answer is given in scripture, “My son,
attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not
depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.” And
again, “My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not
the law of thy mother: Bind them continually upon thine heart, and
tie them about thy neck. When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when
thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall
talk with thee.”

Wrap your daily pondering in scripture sayings and scenarios.

And you will find your heart alert for more of the same. It is called
inclining or leaning your hear into His voice. Soon you will hear His
voice saying, “This is the way; walk ye in it.”
Scripture reading: John 10:1-5
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the
same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth;
and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his
own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow,
but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

Grow In Grace
Through the years we have spoken, preached
and taught about grace a whole lot.

Grace is very important for the Christian life.

In fact, the scripture says that by grace were
we saved. Our needs are met at the throne of
grace and we are instructed to go there to find
grace in time of need. Furthermore, we need
grace, mixed with reverence and godly fear to
serve God acceptably.

The Apostle Peter wrote and instructed the church to grow in grace.
These were his words, “Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these
things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of
the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness. But grow in grace, and
in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be
glory both now and for ever.”

He was saying to the church that they live in perilous times, with
unsettling things taking place, just as the scriptures prophesied.
Therefore, those with like precious faith should avoid being led away
with error and falling from their steadfastness as a result. They were
then instructed to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord
and Saviour Jesus Christ.

You need to grow in grace. In fact, you can grow in grace so rapidly
by having grace multiplied unto you, through the knowledge of God
and our Lord Jesus. Remember, Paul admitted that his abilities as
an apostle were the outworking of special grace given to him.

Imagine you growing in grace by multiplication. Exponential increase

in grace is available to you this month. To reach for it, you need to
set your heart and face on growing in the revelation knowledge of
God, in the same month. Will you do it?

Scripture reading: 2 Peter 1:-2

righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God,

Sufficient Grace
Previously we looked at great grace which
is required for great power.

Now there is something called sufficient

grace and it is when grace makes the
recipient self-sufficient. It is the realm
where God becomes more than enough
to the recipient. It is the proverbial sweet
spot in life.

Jesus said to Paul, “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my

strength is made perfect in weakness.” Sufficient grace
ensures that all things lacking are always supplied by God’s
power, in all circumstances.

The Holy Spirit by Paul said, “And God is able to make all grace
abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all
things, may abound to every good work...”

Sufficient grace has access to all the different dimensions

of grace. The Amplified version of the bible puts it this way,
“And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly
blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always
and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-
sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and
furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable
donation].”

Grace is making you self-sufficient in 2023, possessing enough

to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance.

Now open your heart to sufficient grace.

Scripture reading: 2 Corinthians 9:8

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound
to every good work:

Manifold Grace
An important aspect of grace that we
should understand, is that it is multifaceted.

The apostle Peter said, “As every man

hath received the gift, even so minister the
same one to another, as good stewards of
the manifold grace of God.”

Grace is manifold. The word translated,

‘manifold’ is the Greek word, ‘poikilos’ which means, “various
colours, variegated or of various sorts.”

Grace has various colours and there are various sorts. There
is, for example, saving grace. Paul said, “For by grace are ye
saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of
God.”

Then there are higher and deeper grace than that. Paul
often spoke about the kind of grace given him. For example,
“Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the
grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his
power. Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is
this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the
unsearchable riches of Christ...”

Paul received grace that made him a minister. He even called

it, “this grace.” It was a specific kind.

God, in 2023, is making you into something. What kind of grace

has God given you, in order to make you into that something?

Now is the time to conclusively answer that question.

Scripture reading: Ephesians 4:7-8

Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his
power. Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the

Obtain Grace
The book of Hebrews says, “Let us
therefore come boldly unto the throne
of grace, that we may obtain mercy,
and find grace to help in time of need.”

Grace must be located to be of any

assistance and sustenance during a
season of demand.

The word ‘find’ there is the Greek word, ‘heyriskō’,

meaning, ‘to come upon, get, obtain, perceive, see.’

Grace must be perceived, seen and discovered.

Like the great voyagers of times past, who boldly

navigated the seas in search of land, so you need to
approach God in search of the grace which your ‘kairos’
moments demand.

This kind of grace, which is well-timed to answer life’s

challenges, must be sought out at the throne of God.
Not only will you need to seek it out, you must do so
with boldness.

Are you ready to ‘heyriskō’ grace?

It Is For Freedom
The NIV version of Galatians 5:1 states, “It
is for freedom that Christ has set us free.
Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be
burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

What a powerful phrase, “It is for freedom that

Christ has set us free.” The Lord Jesus, in the
redemption, has brought us a joyous liberty.
We were set free so that we can stay free. Our
freedom in Christ is a spiritual reality. It is not
an aspiration, it is a truth. Yet many Christians are experiencing a
sense of entanglement. They know that Jesus has set them free
but not experiencing it fully as yet. We have not been liberated to
ignore it but to rather enjoy it. We are not only set free from external
regulations but also from the enemy’s harassments. There is no
need to tolerate demonic harassment. Don’t get use to it, end it!

There are several stories from the previous world wars where the
enemy command lost to the victorious army and surrendered.
Yet, many prisoner of war camps had not gotten the news that the
captors (wardens) had lost the war. The captive soldiers were being
brutalised and held in bondage, whilst their fellow soldiers have
already gained, celebrated and declared the victory, over that same
enemy. In some cases the wardens had already heard that they had
lost but decided not to inform their captives. The imprisonment was
now illegal. The wardens were now supposed to be the prisoners
and the prisoners the wardens.

In the spirit, this is sometimes the case with Christians. They have
been set free but not yet made free. The news bulletin had not hit
the heart yet.

Today, here is this announcement again, “It is for freedom that

Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves
be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

Scripture reading: Galatians 5:1

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of
bondage.

The Lord Saith
With the explosion of social media
came a great phenomenon, which is the
proliferation and spreading of personal
opinions, publicly. It seems, no matter the
topic, every one has something to say on
it. Many have even ventured into saying
something about the future of others. What
an audacity!

Yet the scripture states, “Who is he that saith, and it cometh to

pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?” There is a Lord in
heaven and what He commands, comes to pass. What others
say ultimately does not matter. What “the Lord saith” does. The
holy bible starts the book of Genesis off with “God said” and
then continues to show us the power of “thus saith the Lord”.
The penultimate scripture verse in the holy bible reads, “He
which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen.
Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”

What the Lord Jesus saith unto you and about you matters. He
has all authority in heaven and earth. Throughout the scripture
holy men were carried along by the Holy Spirit and uttered a
“thus saith the Lord”, about individuals, peoples, nations and
times. It was not a personal opinion but “the Lord saith”.

If the holy scripture can be described as “the Lord saith”, then

how about your life? Are you fixated about what others saith?
Don’t be. Allow the balance of this year to be governed by “the
Lord saith”. The Holy Spirit indwells every Christian, to strongly
bring through “the Lord saith”. As it is written, “Now the Lord is
that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”

As you pray today, are you ready for “the Lord saith”?

Kill The Phantoms
During a middle or long distance athletics
race, an athlete may experience some adverse
symptom, such as feeling of being fatigued. If
ignored it leaves as quickly as it came. It may
have just been psychological temptation. If
the athlete entertained that feeling of sudden
discouragement, his or her race could soon be
over: killed by a phantom.

Likewise in running the good race there will be similar moments of

discouragement or phantom fatigue. The Christian must deal with
these in order to be a successful achiever. Apostle Paul said this,
“Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth
the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.”

Paul said of himself, “I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I,

not as one that beateth the air...” How did he maintain his certainty?
By putting a clear goal in front of him. He told the Philippian church,
“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one
thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching
forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for
the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

Paul reminded himself that his race was not over. He still had the
grand prize in front of him and he had to press. We know from Paul’s
own account that he did press on and complete his race. He later
said, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have
kept the faith:”

Paul finished his long distance race. Will you? How about finishing
the 2023 leg of your spiritual race? Your movement, deeper and
higher in the purposes of God, for this year is not yet over.

Press more. Kill the phantoms.

Scripture reading: Philippians 3:13-14

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and
reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in
Christ Jesus.

God Prepares
Moses, who would ultimately lead
millions of people through a wilderness
for forty years, previously spent about
the same amount of time leading
sheep to pasture in the wilderness.
Joseph, who would steward Egypt
through seven years of abundance
and seven years of famine, prior to
that spent years managing Potiphar’s abundance and
the prison’s scarcity.

God prepared them that way. How is He preparing you?

God prepares. The bible says that the Prophet John

was sent ahead of Jesus to prepare the way for the
Lord. God prophesied that preparation hundreds of
years before that, by the mouth of Isaiah. Matthew
said of John, “For this is he that was spoken of by the
prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the
wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his
paths straight.”

God prepares. He is preparing you. He is preparing a

way for Himself in you. The Lord loves to have His way
and therefore prepares His way in you.

The preparation starts in you. Allow Him to prepare you.

Scripture reading: isaiah 40:3-5

The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for
our God. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made
straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together:
for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

Submission In Deed
The bible calls people who despise and
oppose authorities, “brute beasts.” Will
you on the last day be named among the
brute beasts or the children of God?

It is therefore not only a sound and noble

practice to obey those with spiritual
oversight over you, but expected and
commanded by the Lord.

The man of God, David said, “Behold, how good and how
pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like
the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the
beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of
his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that
descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD
commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.”

Submission to spiritual authority is paramount. The oil flows

from the head downwards and the dew descends: this is the
benefit and power of submission.

It is our conviction in the Lord that submission must be in

truth: in other words, “in deed” submission, which is in heart,
word and in deeds.

Furthermore, that the spiritual test of true submission lies in

how well you learn the ways, culture, philosophy and doctrine
of the one you are submitted to. Learning takes place through
service, observation, imitation and instruction.

It is written, “Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is

right.” Are you doing that? You are wise if you do.
Scripture reading: Ephesians 6:1
Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

Whose Conviction Is It?
Jesus once asked His disciples a question
saying, “Whom do men say that I the Son of
man am? And they said, Some say that thou
art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others,
Jeremias, or one of the prophets.”

They promptly began to relate what they heard

others say about Jesus. The people bizarrely
believed that Jesus was a reincarnation of a
previous prophet. The disciples were up to
date with the populous opinions about Jesus. They clearly had
their ear to the ground.

Jesus then asked His disciples their own opinion about Him, “But
whom say ye that I am?” Shockingly none gave a response except
Peter. The rest of the disciples had no clear conviction of who
Jesus was. They were following someone, serving in His ministry
and sitting under His teachings, whilst being unsure about Him.
They left everything to follow Him but had no clear conviction
about Him. That is very bizarre. The disciples were there based
on another’s opinion about their Rabbi. It was not enough.

Peter however answered with conviction, “Thou art the Christ, the
Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him,
Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not
revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.”

Jesus said to Peter that he was blessed because of his conviction

and that the conviction came from the Father in heaven. Jesus
would build His church upon Peter’s conviction.

Is your decision for Christianity, the teacher you sit under, and
the church you attend, based on convictions? If so, is it your
convictions or another’s? The answers to these questions impact
the blessedness of your pursuit in God. Can Jesus build something
upon your conviction?
Scripture reading: Matthew 16:13-17
When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man
am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He
saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living

Surrender It To Jesus
Miracles are supernatural interventions. They
are beyond nature. Nature cannot produce
miracles, God is the miracle creator. Jesus is
the greatest example of miracle working.

From the ministry of Jesus, one can see that

every miracle starts with what you have. God
uses what you already have for the miracle.
Jesus, when multiplying the loaves and fishes
asked, “What do you have?” In His first miracle
He used the water and the water pots that was already there and
turned water into wine.

Elisha, the prophet, asked the same question, “What do you have?”
We read the following account, “Now there cried a certain woman
of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy
servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did
fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two
sons to be bondmen. And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for
thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine
handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil. Then
he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even
empty vessels; borrow not a few. And when thou art come in, thou
shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour
out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.
So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her
sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out...Then
she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and
pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.”

Every miracle starts with you and is effected by action and

instruction.

You want a miracle? Look no further than what you have. Even Little
becomes much in the hands of God. It starts with what you have.
Surrender it to Jesus.
Scripture reading: 2 Kings 4:1-2
Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband

Ask Today
The scripture says, “...ye have not, because
ye ask not.” Jesus told the people of God,
“Ask, and it shall be given you...”

Have you considered how many amazing

miracles Jesus did, whilst on earth, just
because someone asked Him. Think about
Jairus. Mark recounts, “And, behold, there
cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue,
Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell
at his feet, And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter
lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on
her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.” Jesus eventually
did and the daughter was resurrected.

There were also others like the centurion, the woman with the
demon possessed girl, blind Bartimaeus and many others. Matthew
records, “And when they were gone over, they came into the land
of Gennesaret. And when the men of that place had knowledge of
him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought
unto him all that were diseased; And besought him that they might
only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were
made perfectly whole.”

It would be staggering to find out how many are suffering in silence,

rather than humbling themselves to beseech Jesus. Human pride
prevents people from asking. Jesus, during the days of His flesh,
only performed miracles for those who humiliated themselves in
fervent expectation and asked.

Likewise, the Holy Spirit will only help those who ask Him. God’s
power is abundant and available. Will you ask? After all He said,
“Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save;
neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear.”

Ask today.

Scripture reading James 1:5

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given
him.

He Is Speaking
The scripture says, “Through faith we
understand that the worlds were framed by
the word of God, so that things which are seen
were not made of things which do appear.”

The worlds and everything we see, were

framed by what they heard. These things heard
God. God is a speaking spirit. The bible tells
us that He first manifested His tangibility and
then spoke. Genesis records, “... And the Spirit
of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there
be light: and there was light.” He is a speaking spirit. He creates by
speaking. He changes things by speaking. He even spoke to Himself
before creating man. Again Genesis records, “And God said, Let
us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have
dominion over...”

Since the beginning, God’s relationship with man was a speaking

one. Even the fallen man could relate to the voice of God. It is said,
“And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden
in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from
the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art
thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid,
because I was naked; and I hid myself.”

To God, it is the most common and desirable thing to speak to you.

He is a speaking spirit. God speaking, is very normal to Himself.
It should also be normal to you. Jesus said that He is the good
shepherd and uttered these words, “he that entereth in by the door
is the shepherd of the sheep and that His sheep know and hear His
voice.”

He is speaking to you. Don’t think it strange. Do you hear His voice?

Scripture reading: John 10:2-6

But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and
he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and
the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know
not the voice of strangers.

Can You Do Without Peace?
Apostle Peter saluted the church, “Peace
be with you all that are in Christ Jesus.”
Apostle John said, “Peace be to thee.” The
apostles Paul and Jude did similar. Such is
the importance of peace.

Jesus, before His crucifixion, eluded to the

necessity of peace with His words, “Peace I
leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not
as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled,
neither let it be afraid.”

The world gives false peace and is a generator of wars. There is

always one battle or the other being fostered by mankind. There
seems to be an overt effort to keep people in constant anxiety and
distress. There are no authentic sources of joy. Jesus is the only
true source of peace. Whilst you are in this world, He gives you
peace that is from out of this world: the peace that emanates from
the Prince of Peace and His kingdom. The kingdom of God which
is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Again, so important is peace that Jesus, after His resurrection,

did the following: John records, “Then the same day at evening,
being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where
the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus
and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.”

Can you do without peace? Off course not. The world wants to
drown you in fear, unbelief and distress. Refuse to surrender your
peace. Recall the words of Jesus, “Peace I leave with you, my
peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let
not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

Scripture reading: John 20:21

Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you

Multiply The Peace
Peter wrote in 1 Peter, “Grace unto you, and
peace, be multiplied.”

He released an apostolic prayer that peace be

multiplied. We recently saw from the scriptures,
the importance and vitality of peace. It is thus
wonderful to find out that not only do you have
peace but that peace can be multiplied.

You would here do well, to recall the scripture, “Simon Peter, a

servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained
like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and
our Saviour Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you
through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,”

Peace, just like grace, can be multiplied through the knowledge of

God, and of Jesus our Lord. You can just accumulate peace at the
same time that you accumulating grace.

Jesus, in His pre-crucifixion words explains how this is possible. He

said, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have
peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I
have overcome the world.”

He said, “these things have I spoken unto you that you may have
peace.” So peace is imparted by His sayings! The more you hear
His sayings the more peace is activated within you. The greater the
knowledge of what He said, knowing Who said it, the greater the
volume of peace you possess. Do you get that?

A heart increasingly saturated in the sayings of Jesus, will increasingly

be imbued with peace. Such an one will become unshakable. Will
that be you?

Scripture reading:1 Peter 1:2

Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling
of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

Time For A No-Fly Zone
The Prophet Isaiah recorded God’s words,
“For thus hath the LORD spoken unto me,
Like as the lion and the young lion roaring
on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is
called forth against him, he will not be afraid
of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise
of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come
down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill
thereof.”

Wow, the Psalm writer truthfully wrote, “Blessed is the nation

whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for
his own inheritance.”

God was saying through Isaiah that He is so determined to fight

for His own, that He became lion-like in His behavior. His desire
to fight for His people, made Him a hungry, roaring lion. Nothing
would distract Him in His mission.

Furthermore, His operation in defending and preserving His people,

would cause Him to establish a no-fly zone over His people. As
He would go on to say, “As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts
defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing
over he will preserve it.”

When a country is at war, governments would often establish a

no-fly zone over the region, to protect the people on the ground,
from foreign flying objects. God was saying that He would deploy
His own birds of prey to establish a no-fly zone over His people.

Today, be encouraged that the God, Who said, I am the Lord and
I changeth not,” is doing the same for you. May a spiritual no-fly
zone become a reality over your life. Ask Him now and declare
it. God will put His eagles [the shadow of His wings, the wings of
His angels] over the atmosphere of your life. Every foreign flying
object will be shot and torn down, over your life.

Scripture reading: Isaiah 31:4-5

For thus hath the LORD spoken unto me Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of
shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so
shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof. As birds flying, so will the LORD of

All You Have
We heard a servant of God once say, “One
life for Jesus is all you have.”

It is a simple, yet profound statement. We

were each given one life to live. We have
one opportunity to be a good steward of
the time he has given us here on earth.
There is no better way to live than to live it
for Jesus, the Author and Source of life.

How do we live this life for Him? The answer is simple: live
as His ambassador. Be the carrier of His will, life and voice in
your life time. Jesus on earth said, “My meat is to do the will
of him that sent me, and to finish his work.” And again, “For I
came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will
of him that sent me.”

In life you have the opportunity to self-actualize. This is the

desire and fate of most people on earth. Yet self is not worth
actualizing. That same self was on its way to a lost eternity and
needed redemption. Jesus brought redemption by actualizing
the Father in His time here on earth. He said unto Philip, “he
that hath seen me hath seen the Father...”

What will you say? One life for Jesus is all you have. Will
you actualize Jesus to your people? Jesus is ready to be
manifested through you in a much greater way than before.
Are you ready for His command and next instruction?

You are not just a nobody or a somebody. You are His body.

Scripture reading: 2 Corinthians 5:14-15

For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died
for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

The Lord Stood
The Apostle Paul made a shocking admission
to his spiritual son, Timothy. These were his
words, “At my first answer no man stood
with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God
that it may not be laid to their charge.” Paul
was shocked that when he needed support,
people whom he least expected deserted
him.

The Greek word for ‘stood, is ‘symparaginomai’

which means ‘to appear in aid, come together, stand with and to
come to one’s help.’ Paul needed ‘symparaginomai’ because in
his own words, “Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil:
the Lord reward him according to his works: Of whom be thou
ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.” He needed
‘symparaginomai’ because his words were being greatly withstood
by someone. He needed someone to greatly stand for his words.

You may recall that the angel, sent to Daniel, had a similar
account, “Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first
day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten
thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for
thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me
one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes,
came to help me...and there is none that holdeth with me in these
things, but Michael your prince.” The angel was being withstood
and needed one of his peers (a fellow angel) to stand with him.

Paul felt a similar need but found that no peer was there to
stand with him, in support of his words. Yet he went on to say,
“Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me...”

Know this: you may find yourself in need of man’s support but
find none. Never despair: the Lord will always stand with you, to
strengthen you. The Lord is your standby in 2023.

Scripture reading: 2 timothy 4:14-17

Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: Of whom be thou ware also; for
he hath greatly withstood our words. At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it

might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

Time To Ponder
The scripture says, “Ponder the path of thy
feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn
not to the right hand nor to the left: remove
thy foot from evil.”

We are told to ponder the path of our feet.

By pondering where we are heading, we
give ourselves the opportunity to adjust our
movements, in case we are drifting. Many
people make new year resolutions but soon forget the resolution
they made. They got caught up in their daily activities and the
challenges that the new year brought. It then becomes easy
to just go through the motions, and be carried by the previous
year’s habits.

The captain of a ship cannot allow his vessel to begin to drift. He

has to keep his hand on the steer, to ensure that the rudder is
taking him to the predetermined destination. Else, the turbulent
waters will take him into undesired territory. So it is with life. You
have to maintain your course. Pondering helps you keep track so
that you stay on track.

This is so important that the Lord also ponders man’s goings.

Solomon said, “For the ways of man are before the eyes of the
LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.”

God is pondering your goings. Are you doing the same? Many
people are seeking to encounter God or locate His voice for their
lives. Yet there is a secret to locating His voice for your life. You
can encounter God in the pondering.

Adam encountered God in the cool of the day. You can encounter
God in the pondering of your ways. Do it today. It is time to ponder.

Provoke A New Beginning
“Whatever He says to you, do it”, were the
words of Mary, the mother of Jesus. This
led to Jesus’ first miracle. Mary provoked
a beginning out of God. Her faith and rest
unleashed a Genesis of a different kind.
Jesus began to display His supernatural
nature.

Mary knew how to get Him to initiate a new spiritual age or

‘eon.’ Even when He did not think that He should.

We said this before:

Mary had been practicing this kind of faith since a young
girl. As a virgin, she was the recipient of the greatest miracle
recorded in the bible: the miraculous conception of Jesus.
She believed that nothing is impossible with God and knew
how to provoke the power of God to move towards her.

She had a simple approach:

1. ‘Believe’,
2. ‘Ask’ and then
3. ‘Whatever He says to you, do it.’

Let us all be inspired by Mary’s simple but profound faith.

Today, “Do whatever He tells you.” It may be the introduction

and initiation of something new for your generation. During
this second half of 2023 because of you, may it again be
recorded, “This beginning of miracles did Jesus...and
manifested forth his glory.”

Scripture reading: John 2:3-7

have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

Hear The Conclusion
After all the preacher’s wise sayings, he
uttered the following, “Let us hear the
conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God,
and keep his commandments: for this is
the whole duty of man. For God shall bring
every work into judgment, with every secret
thing, whether it be good, or whether it be
evil.”

Solomon was recording many observations and sayings,

concerning man’s natural life here on earth. At the end he
decided to sum up the sayings with the above statement.

The whole duty of man is to “fear God, and keep his

commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.”

When Jesus comes, we will appear before the judgment seat of

Christ. Paul put it this way, “For we must all appear before the
judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things
done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be
good or bad.”

A man who has this outlook and vision of the future, is a truly
wise man. He thus, in every he deed and saying of his, “fear
God, and keep his commandments.”

We, here at the end of this the seventh month of the year, in the
same vein say. What is the conclusion of all these daily devotionals
and sayings?: “Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this
is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into
judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether
it be evil.”

Do you understand this?

Scripture reading: Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

Fresh Grace
The journey demands refreshed grace.
David said, “But my horn shalt thou exalt
like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be
anointed with fresh oil.”

Fresh oil comes with fresh grace. Fresh

grace comes with renewed direction and
new instructions. The season demands
change. It demands repentance. Repentance will deliver
access to fresh grace. As it is written, “Repent ye therefore,
and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the
times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.”

Do you need God’s intervention, answer or salvation in any

matter? Grace is needed. Just as it is written, “...by grace are
ye saved...”

Grace will be bring elevation to your life. Do you want to go

higher this month? Are you looking for a new beginning? Then
approach the throne of grace with boldness today. Fresh grace
will be released from the Holy Place. As it is boldly written,
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that
we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

Today is a day for fresh grace, fresh instructions and fresh

directions. Are you ready to receive it? God is ready to release
it. Hear His call right now, “Ho, every one that thirsteth, come
ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy,
and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and
without price.”

Position Yourself
Changing times and seasons demands
shifts. Consider the four natural seasons:
In winter we adjust our eating, drinking,
clothing and even moving habits from
the ones we had in the heat of summer.
Why? Because winter brings much colder
temperatures, shorter days and other
weather patterns.

Likewise changes in the world system is a demand for a shift

in how we operate. The global lockdowns and martial law type
rule instituted by governments, certainly pushed traumatic
changes onto society. How people and organizations
responded greatly determined how they are fairing now.

How you prepare for and respond to crisis will determine your
ability to survive and even thrive through it. Most importantly
you have to prepare. It starts with anticipating the unfolding
change and then shifting into position.

How do you grow your anticipation skills? It starts with

praying and talking to the Holy Spirit about unfolding events
and asking for both insight and foresight. After all, He is the
One who shows us things to come. As Jesus said, “Howbeit
when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into
all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he
shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things
to come.”

Then ask the Holy Spirit for counsel on how you need to
position yourself. He will teach and instruct you in the way

With Him: For Him
The first response to the call of God should
be self-denial. Without self-denial, God
will never accept your following nor your
pursuit of Him.

Jesus said, “Whosoever will come after

me, let him deny himself, and take up his
cross, and follow me. For whosoever will
save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my
sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it:”

Self-denial is the prerequisite for the communication of God’s

true will for your life. ‘Self’ is never the right lens to use in
surveying the landscape of God’s plan for you.

We mentioned the ‘bible-truth’ before, that there are many false

followers of Jesus. Many false Christians. They never denied
anything about themselves for Him. They are Christians out of
convenience and for self-gain. Also, many attend church for
entertainment, and not sacrifice and service. You cannot grow
without sacrifice and there can be no true lasting service without
sacrifice. Therefore the apostle Paul told the church, “Present
your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto Him.
This is your reasonable service in order to be accepted.”

Start every journey with Him: for Him. Start in God’s word:
therein is His will, desire and way. And yes don’t start without
denying yourself.

Paul said, “I die daily.” So should you. And then live by Him.

Scripture reading: Mark 8:34-35

And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let
him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall
lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it:

Get Moving
Many have been in limbo for too long: Caught
in a space where they do not want to be.
Hovering between two opinions.

Elijah challenged God’s people with the

words, “How long halt ye between two
opinions?” In response, the people answered
Elijah, “not a word.” They were so far gone
in limbo land that they could not find the
energy to respond. What a sorry state to be in! Where do you find
yourself? Are you perhaps in limbo in one or more areas of your
life? It is time to arise and get moving.

Four lepers in the book of Kings found themselves in that space.

They were sitting and dying. They had to ask themselves, “Why sit
we here until we die?” As stated before, from their story we can
learn some lessons in being decisive:

1. Ponder and Assess the situation.

2. Count the cost.
3. Arise.
4. Move on.
5. Don’t look back.

That is exactly what the four lepers did and found that God moved
with them, as they moved on. God used these lepers to change
the social and economic conditions of a city, full of God’s people.
They got moving and saved many lives.

Today, find inspiration from the four lepers and get moving. It could
be your time. Whose life can your moving change? Will you rise to
the occasion and say good bye to limbo land?

Scripture reading: 2 Kings 7:3-5

And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we
die? If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we
die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they
kill us, we shall but die. And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and when they were come to
the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there.

Acknowledge and Share

Again, we wish to touch briefly on the
biblical principle of “acknowledging” which
means ‘precise and correct recognition.’
The bible says that God wants all men to
come to the “acknowledging of the truth.”
All this time that the church is triumphantly
demonstrating the gospel and awaiting
the coming again of Christ, is dependent
on the principle of “acknowledging.” We are told to pray so
that we can lead a quiet and peaceable life, in all godliness
and honesty because God wants all men to come to the
knowledge of the truth, through you. And that can only happen
if you operate in the spiritual principle of acknowledging.

Acknowledging what you carry on the inside of you in God,

makes your sharing (or distribution) of your faith, effective and
fruitful. Paul told Philemon, “That the communication of thy
faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every
good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.” The word translated
“effectual,” is the Greek word ‘energēs’ which ‘means active
and powerful.’ The key step in making the communication
and conveying of your faith powerful, is to practice the
acknowledging of every good thing in you in Christ Jesus.

Thus, as you acknowledge, they will acknowledge and say,

“Surely God is in you of a truth. Can I also have Him? Can you
help me?”

Right now, start to make your faith-sharing powerful, by your

acknowledging.

Scripture reading: Philemon 1:6

That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in
Christ Jesus.

God is Tangible
A while ago, we mentioned something that is
very important. Our words were, “Attending
a church where God is tangibly sensed,
and His effects and movings are evidently
witnessed, is of the utmost importance for
your life’s purpose and destiny.”

Experiencing God tangibly is a must for every

life. The heroes of faith in the bible lived
life with the greatest sense of purpose and
destiny. They were also the ones who encountered God tangibly,
at key points in their lives. And those encounters were defining
moments. Your encounters with God are defining moments.

It is surprising to learn that most Christians live without experiencing

the tangible presence of God: fellowship with the Holy Spirit is an
option. This was not so for the bible Christians. The Holy Spirit and
His power was everything to the true church.

The Christian must encounter God’s tangible presence both in

the corporate gathering and in private. However, if you are not
encountering God’s presence tangibly at the church gathering,
you will not abundantly encounter Him when you are alone.

The church was birthed during a most tangible encounter. As it

is written, “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they
were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came
a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all
the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them
cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.”

Tangible encounters with the living God are not the luxuries of life
but the basic necessity. You need to encounter God tangibly. As
you gather at church this weekend, ask Him to encounter you in a
tangible way.

Scripture reading: Acts 2:15-18

Dark Lover versus Light Lover
Jesus, in an elaboration to Nicodemus,
stated that among men there were dark
lovers and light lovers.

He specifically said, “And this is the

condemnation, that light is come into the
world, and men loved darkness rather
than light, because their deeds were evil.”

The dark lovers were so because what they were doing evil
acts and loving it.

He went on to elaborate, “For every one that doeth evil hateth

the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be
reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his
deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.”

The Lord explained that those who love truth are light lovers.
They do what they do in the light. They know that the light will
expose the nature of their deeds and that these were being
done in God.

Dark lovers shy from the truth because it sheds light. Herein is
the power of darkness. Darkness can only persist where truth
is absent. Truth will eventually work out darkness.

The word of God is truth and the truth is in Jesus, just as the
scriptures testify. Jesus is the Truth. The more of the truth in
you, the brighter you shine and the “lighter” your life.

Decide that, this year, you will be a light lover rather than a
dark lover. Never shy from the truth. His Word is Truth.

Scripture reading: John 3:19-21

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their
deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be
reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Darkness
The Book of Genesis tells us, “In the
beginning God created the heaven and the
earth. And the earth was without form, and
void; and darkness was upon the face of the
deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the
face of the waters. And God said, Let there
be light: and there was light.”

Darkness dominated the face of the deep.

This was the first problem that God solved.
He ended the rule of darkness. Light shined into that spiritual
darkness. He did the same for us when we became Christians. It
is written, “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and
hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:” And again,
“For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath
shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory
of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”

God hates the ignorance that darkness enforces. The world,

trapped in darkness, lacks sight, insight and foresight: to act and
walk with God. The scripture says that satan works hard to enforce
darkness and prevent men from receiving the light. It is written, “In
whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which
believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is
the image of God, should shine unto them.”

Mankind’s problem is darkness. Since the beginning, the earth

had a darkness problem. Darkness hampers movement and
brings ignorance. Ignorance facilitates chaos. It is written, “They
know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness:
all the foundations of the earth are out of course.”

What is out of place in your life? Darkness is the source and

ignorance the cause. It is time to focus your energies on destroying
ignorance and dispelling darkness.

Scripture reading: Genesis 1:1-3

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon
the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there

Shades Of Darkness
Jesus said, “No man, when he hath lighted
a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither
under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they
which come in may see the light. The light of
the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye
is single, thy whole body also is full of light;
but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full
of darkness. Take heed therefore that the light
which is in thee be not darkness. If thy whole
body therefore be full of light, having no part
dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a
candle doth give thee light.”

Jesus, here above, is saying that the eye was given to prevent us
from being in darkness. The natural eye is the faculty through which
man takes in light. To prevent too much brightness from entering,
man wears sunglasses. These dark glasses influence how we
then see the world. For example, if one enters a building, one may
be mistaken to think that it is very dark in there, whereas it is the
tint of the sunglasses worn. The sunglasses is keeping light out.
Yellow tints can make things seem yellowish; pink tints can make
everything seem pinkish, etc. These shades of colour can in effect
serve as shades of darkness.

The same applies to the spiritual eyes. Jesus, in the above passage,
was off course talking of man’s ability to spiritually see or perceive.
Many people are looking at life through eyes of darknesses, tinted
by their experiences, spiritual upbringing, obsessions, etc. Paul
wrote, “Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are
defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and
conscience is defiled.” What kind of tints are you using for your
outlook on life? Tints can cast someone in a bad light. You may view
the deliverer that God sent you wrongly and miss your deliverance.

Today, take off those shades of darkness and view life through a
pure unfettered eye.

Scripture reading: Luke 11:33-36

No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they
which come in may see the light. The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is

be not darkness. If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when

Let It Shine
We previously saw in Genesis that the first
problem that God solved was darkness.
Darkness covered the face of the deep. God
solved the problem with light. He commanded
light out of darkness.

Due to the subsequent fall of man, Isaiah

said, “For, behold, the darkness shall cover
the earth, and gross darkness the people...”
That same spiritual darkness that was there
before, which was absorbed before the eyes of God, would be
there again. We can see it is increasingly being manifested in our
day: darkness on the earth and gross darkness on the people.
People have on mass, entered a state of blissful ignorance. It is
as though they have been enveloped by a thick cloud of darkness.

Yet in Christ, the context is set: as Isaiah proclaimed, “Arise, shine;

for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon
thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross
darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his
glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy
light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.”

Your light has already come: Jesus and His treasure in you. Now
all a Christian has to do, is arise. Your action to do something and
say something, is your shining. Your good works and good news is
your shining. Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before men, that
they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in
heaven.”

Don’t hide your light. Say something. Do something. So that it

may be said because of you, as was said because of Jesus, “The
people who sat in darkness hath seen a great light...” Your sayings
and doings will attract them to Jesus. And they too will have the
opportunity to shine.

Scripture reading: Isaiah 60:1-3

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the
earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the

Atmosphere
The scripture says, “Make a joyful noise
unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the
LORD with gladness: come before his
presence with singing. Know ye that the
LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us,
and not we ourselves; we are his people,
and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into
his gates with thanksgiving, and into his
courts with praise:”

The aforementioned are beautiful commands. A joyful

noise creates a certain atmosphere. It is an atmosphere of
celebration and victory. Gladness, singing, thanksgiving,
praise and blessing also stimulates a similar superior
atmosphere: An atmosphere in which God abides. God loves
the right atmosphere. The atmosphere which you carry, when
you enter His presence, must be agreeable with His.

You were created after His likeness. You also prefer a good
atmosphere and are at your best in such a vibe.

We all enjoy the presence of the Lord. The sense of His

presence is the greatest and most enjoyable atmosphere. To
have His tangible presence with us, we must cultivate the kind
of atmosphere that He loves.

This month thank more, sing more, praise more, bless more
and serve Him with gladness. Let your mouth know the joyful
noise like never before.

That is God’s kind of atmosphere.

Spot The Good
God through Jeremiah said, “Thus saith
the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth
in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and
whose heart departeth from the LORD.
For he shall be like the heath in the desert,
and shall not see when good cometh; but
shall inhabit the parched places in the
wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.
Blessed is the man that trusteth in the
LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree
planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the
river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be
green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither
shall cease from yielding fruit.”

A curse is an adverse flow or force. Jeremiah says that those

under an adverse flow, will not see when good comes to them.
In other words, the curse cannot prevent good from coming.
Jesus, concerning God, actually said, “...for he maketh his sun
to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just
and on the unjust.”

Thus, a curse prevents the person from seeing the good when
it comes. It prevents the kairos from being captured, by bringing
blindness and distractions.

August and the rest of 2023 will present you with many God-
given opportunities: Ensure that you live the life of the blessed
and spot every one them. Prevent yourself from moving into an
adverse spiritual jet stream.

Pray [for that] today.

Be The Wise One
It is written, “And moreover, because the
preacher was wise, he still taught the
people knowledge; yea, he gave good
heed, and sought out, and set in order
many proverbs. The preacher sought to
find out acceptable words: and that which
was written was upright, even words of
truth.”

The scripture says that because the preacher was wise, he

still taught the people knowledge. Wise people teach other
people knowledge. As a parent, you should not defer to a
school teacher to teach your child. A wise parent should take
it upon themselves to teach their own child knowledge. A wise
husband, mother, boss and the like does the same.

To be able to that you must:

1. Take good heed. The ability to have an ear to hear is vital.
2. Seek out acceptable words. You must be a miner and
collector of acceptable words.
3. Set the sayings in order. You may not hear the sayings
in order but to use these in building and ordering a life, it
must first be set in order.
4. Recognize that acceptable words are upright words: it will
avoid the formation of a crooked and tottering life.
5. The words of truth are the acceptable words. These are
words which outcomes are guaranteed: the words of the
wise.

From today be the wise one and teach people knowledge by

spreading the words of truth.

Think This
Paul, after instructing the Christians to
be anxious about nothing but pray about
everything, told them, “Finally, brethren,
whatsoever things are true, whatsoever
things are honest, whatsoever things are
just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever
things are lovely, whatsoever things are of
good report; if there be any virtue, and if
there be any praise, think on these things.”

He told them to think about specific categories of things. The

word translated as ‘think’ in this verse of scripture, is the Greek
word, ‘logizomai,’ which means to ‘calculate or take into account.’
God was saying that in your logical analysis of life’s events and
your sober computation of the possible outcomes, only take into
account the factors mentioned above. Why? The Lord’s presence
meant that everything could only have an outcome within that
array.

He said to consider only things that are true, honest, just, pure,
lovely, good report, excellent and praise worthy, in your prediction
of how things will turn out for you. In other words, you can only
have good outcomes in your life. When the Lord’s presence is near
in your life, everything turns for your good. As it is written, “And we
know that all things work together for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

In the light of the aforementioned, it is no wonder that your peace

would be unshakable. The world and its outcomes are untrue,
dishonest, unjust, impure, unacceptable, bad report, dismal
and curse worthy. You are not of this world and therefore not a
candidate for their outcomes.

You have to join the world to share their fate. However you know
better. As it is written, “And be not conformed to this world: but be
ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove
what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Scripture reading: Philippians 4:8

Again, None Of Your Business
Learning to mind (ponder, imagine, work
out) your own life is imperative. The
Apostle Paul said, “...make it your ambition
to lead a quiet life: You should mind your
own business and work with your hands,
just as we told you.” (NIV)

We once watched an interview of an old

man, who is still going strong for God. The interviewer asked
him, “What is the secret to your long life and health? The
man answered, “I pray. I read the Bible. And I mind my own
business and always have.”

Minding your own business is vital for fulfilling your destiny.

You live in a world full of distractions and loud voices.
Learning to cut through the mix and make a clear sound is
an art. Learning to know the difference between bearing one
another’s burdens versus minding your own business is vital.
The former is about prayer and answers. And the latter about
occupation. God’s commission and directives to you, should
be your daily occupation.

Peter, the disciple, exhibited a habit of turning about to look at

others and other things, especially after special moments with
Jesus. To cure Peter, Jesus prescribed the remedy to him: by
effectively telling him that His dealings with others, is none of
Peter’s business.

Specifically, the Lord told Peter that God’s plan for his best
friend, John, is none of Peter’s business. Therein is a lesson.

Scripture reading: John 21:20-22

Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and
said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee? Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? Jesus saith
unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.

Again, We Are Not Ignorant
The scripture admonishes us against allowing
satan to get the advantage over us. That
means satan is seeking to gain an advantage
over the Christian. He does not automatically
have an advantage over us. He needs to try
and get it. We are told not to let him.

Satan, if left unchecked, is a formidable force.

The great Apostle Paul said to a church
congregation,“...wherefore we would have
come unto you, even I Paul once and again, but satan hindered us.”
Here satan stopped Paul from carrying out his mission, by hindering
him. It does not say God stopped him, satan did. How does satan
get something like that right? One of the primary ways, is to keep the
church ignorant of his evil purposes and thoughts. Our ignorance
about what the devil is planning is satan’s advantage.

God forbid! Therefore Elisha, always told the King of Israel of what
the enemies of God were planning, even in their bedrooms. It is told
us in this manner, “Then the king of Syria warred against Israel,
and took counsel with his servants, saying, In such and such a
place shall be my camp. And the man of God sent unto the king of
Israel, saying, Beware that thou pass not such a place; for thither
the Syrians are come down. And the king of Israel sent to the place
which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself
there, not once nor twice. Therefore the heart of the king of Syria
was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said
unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel?
And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the
prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou
speakest in thy bedchamber.”

You must destroy your ignorance about satan’s devices from today.
Today, ask the Holy Spirit to show you too, every plan of the devil
against you. He is more than happy to expose satan.

Get Wisdom
The Lord Jesus told a parable and
started with these words, “Then shall the
kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten
virgins, which took their lamps, and went
forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of
them were wise, and five were foolish.”

The believers in these last days shall be

characterized by two things: wisdom and foolishness. The
foolish will not be ready at the Lord’s coming and the wise
will be. They will be differentiated by their applied wisdom
or lack thereof. Solomon said, “Wisdom is the principal
thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get
understanding.”

Wisdom will set you apart during these troubling times. God
spoke through Isaiah and said, “And wisdom and knowledge
shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation:
the fear of the LORD is his treasure.” Wisdom will keep your
life steady when everything and everyone else is shaking. In
every crisis of life, wisdom is the answer.

How do you plan to build and secure your family, business

and life? Start with wisdom-filled words and actions. Solomon
aptly said, “Through wisdom is an house builded...” God also
used wisdom to form and firm up this rock called, earth. It
is written, “The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth...”

Again, stability is yours during volatile times. How? Get

wisdom. Use wisdom.

Again, Never Turn Back
The gospel of John tells us that many of
Jesus’ disciples, in one day, turned back and
walked no more with Him. This all because of
a hard saying which they misunderstood. It
is written, “The Jews therefore strove among
themselves, saying, How can this man give
us his flesh to eat? Then Jesus said unto
them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye
eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his
blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth
my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise
him up at the last day...Many therefore of his disciples, when they
had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?
When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he
said unto them, Doth this offend you?...From that time many of his
disciples went back, and walked no more with him.”

Jesus was talking about the communion table but these disciples
were thinking cannibalism. They had the capacity to miss conceive
because they were caught up with the strivings of the Jews among
themselves. Refuse to be caught up with the wrong reasonings.

Be like the twelve. It is recorded, “Then said Jesus unto the twelve,
Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to
whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.” They knew
why they were with Jesus. Never follow Jesus or be involved in
any Jesus-project out of convenience or private gain. You will have
opportunity to turn back.

Neither return to an old bad habit. If you stumble, get up but never
go back. It would be folly. Over the past two decades we have
seen many turn back from following Jesus. Returners can never
move forward.

Always stay the course with Jesus. What future can there be in the
past? Push forward, looking unto Jesus.

“And he came to Nazareth, where he had

Luke also tells us that Jesus often withdrew to desert places

and prayed. Spiritual customs like these not only build
structure but also allows for the build up of momentum and
spiritual endurance.

Even Peter and John went up to the temple at the hour of

prayer and there found a man, who also had a daily custom of
begging. It is written, “Now Peter and John went up together
into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried,
whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called
Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple.”

His custom was due to his bondage and could not liberate
him. Their custom of prayer, as with Jesus, was not only good
for them but also for the liberation of mankind. They healed
that lame beggar in the name of Jesus Christ.

What about your customs? Develop and strengthen liberating

customs, from today.

Scripture reading: Mark 1:35

And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

Tune In
We grew up in the time before the Internet
took off. In those days, the radio and the
radio stations were big. Radio stations were
transmitting signals on a certain frequency
and one needed a radio receiver to listen
to the desired broadcast, by tuning into the
specific frequency.

It was amazing to a child because one

could enter into another world just by finding
the right frequency. A young person, who may never have been
outside their own neighborhood, could be listening live to voices
from half way around the world.

In the same way, we can tune into the voice of heaven and receive
the broadcast being beamed from there. We have been equipped
with a receiver which can tune into the heavenly frequency. Isaiah
says, “...he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear
to hear as the learned. The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear...”

We each have a spiritual ear which needs to be inclined towards

God. Isaiah also said, “Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear,
and your soul shall live...”

It is time to hook ourselves into the God frequency, more strongly.

Abraham hooked into the God frequency and then heard and
obeyed God, during a time of famine and thrived. So did his son,
Isaac. Both heard God and their souls lived.

Today, imitate them and tune into the God-frequency. Tune out of
every interference and into the rhema of God. As it is written, “So
then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Tune in. As Jesus said, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Hear, respond and your soul shall live.

Scripture reading: Matthew 11:15

He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

The Good Part
It is written, “Now it came to pass, as they
went, that he entered into a certain village:
and a certain woman named Martha
received him into her house. And she had a
sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’
feet, and heard his word. But Martha was
cumbered about much serving, and came
to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care
that my sister hath left me to serve alone?
bid her therefore that she help me. And Jesus answered and
said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled
about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath
chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from
her.”

Jesus admonished Martha about being full of cares and as a

result, troubled. There are those who trouble themselves by
their internal spiritual posture. Martha in this case neglected
to choose the good part, which can never be removed.

When Martha and Mary’s brother, Lazarus died, she could

find no faith within herself for his resurrection. And this in the
very presence of the Son of God Himself!

Mary on the other hand, because she had previously chosen

the good part, could move the heart of Jesus in the time of
crisis.

This week, choose the good part which can never be taken
away. Preservation of the wellbeing or life of your loved one
and even yourself may just be dependent on it. Refer Martha.

You Have Overcome
No matter what happens in the world,
stay steady. Stay away from “they say”
for “they say” is just hearsay. Stick to the
“He says.”

As it written, “...yea, let God be true, but

every man a liar...”

So no matter what happens in the world, stay steady. Jesus

said, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye
might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but
be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

He has overcome this turbulent world system for you. Now

you are manifesting that overcoming, “Ye are of God, little
children, and have overcome them: because greater is he
that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

You have overcome everything the world can throw at you:

greater is the Holy Spirit in you than the spirit of confusion,
calamity and fear out there. You have overcome them.

Do not allow the pundits to pull you under, into an ocean of

confusion and despair. Trust God. As it is written, “Sanctify
the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let
him be your dread. And he shall be for a sanctuary.”

You are not going under. You are going over. You have
overcome. Do you believe that?

Scripture reading: 1 John 4:4-6

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth
God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Hear The Days Speak
The scripture says, “And Elihu the son of
Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am
young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was
afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion.
I said, Days should speak, and multitude of
years should teach wisdom.”

Elihu said, “Days should speak...” A day has

a voice: yesterday had a voice and so does
today and tomorrow. Every day that you live is
speaking to you. It is telling you something about you, life, others, a
present circumstance or even tomorrow. Are you paying attention?

We are told by King Solomon, “Ponder the path of thy feet, and let
all thy ways be established.” Are you allowing each day to add its
voice, to help as you ponder the path your feet and firm up your
ways into tomorrow?

Elihu went on to say, “...multitude of years should teach wisdom.”

In other words, each year you live should be a school, an academy
or class, where wisdom is being conveyed. Elihu saw that Job and
his friends were very old men and thought to himself that these
are master graduates from “the university of years.” He expected
to hear them pour out rivers of wisdom. After all, Job was facing
a severe test and what he seemed to need was counsel, from the
professors of wisdom. Job’s friends should have detected the root
cause of the problem and provided the solution. What Elihu heard,
disappointed him: These men appeared to have not attended the
lectures or forgot all the lessons of wisdom. They lived life without
capturing its wisdom. They were not paying attention. They lived
each day, deaf to its voice.

In life, let us not imitate Job’s friends. God rebuked them. You are
already a student in the class of wisdom, under the teacher called,
“years.” Pay attention to the lessons taught and hear the days speak.

Scripture reading: Job 32:6-7

And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and
Durst not shew you mine opinion.I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.

Are You The Goodman?
Jesus told us in the gospel of Mathew
about a burglar intending to do a house
break-in. He was using the thief analogy
to teach the disciples, how to posture
for His coming. The Lord’s teaching can
also help us guard against the spiritual
thief. Jesus said, “But know this, that if
the goodman of the house had known
in what watch the thief would come,
he would have watched, and would not have suffered his
house to be broken up.”

The Lord, in the verse here above, said that the man of the
house, if he knew what time the thief would arrive, would
not permit the burglary to have any degree of success. He
called such a man, “the goodman of the house.” A man
who watches and prevents his house from being broken
in, is a good man in the eyes of the Son of God.

The thief wants to break up the house. As it is written,

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to
destroy...” However, the goodman is needed to foil the
thief’s plan.

Are you “the goodman”? Are you guarding the house of

your mind, body, family etc? And preventing a spiritual
break-up from occurring? Your vigilance can deter the
thief from striking and furthermore stop his attack, if he
attacks.

Today, watch and pray.

War Within
The scripture says, ““He maketh wars
to cease unto the end of the earth; he
breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in
sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.”

What an amazing fact and also parable!

God causes wars to cease unto the end of
the earth. That means there is no war that
God cannot cause to cease. Perhaps there is no greater war
than the war of the heart.

Wars happen outside because of the wars that rage inside the
hearts of men. Hearts at war will make war. They look for a
battle without because there is one within.

Determine to have God make an end to every war within your

heart. Remember a heart divided against itself cannot stand.

The apostle James said, ““From whence come wars and

fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts
that war in your members?”

Paul the apostle also said, “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit,
and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth
against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are
contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things
that ye would.”

Today, ask the Holy Spirit to help you this year, to make all wars
within to cease.

Fear No Dragon
Folk tales tell us that dragons breathe
fire. Fire is dangerous. Fire burns. Fire
is difficult to control. Fire travels. Fire
jumps. Fire penetrates. Fire flies. Fire
kills. Fire destroys. Fire consumes. No
wonder men were scared of dragons!

Satan is called a great dragon in the

bible. Of satan it is written, “And there was war in heaven:
Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the
dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was
their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon
was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan,
which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the
earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

The devil might be a dragon and a great dragon, yet he is

not even a match for Michael, let alone God. That dragon is
afraid of God. Why? God Himself breathes fire. The scripture
says that smoke comes from His nostrils and fire out of His
mouth devours.

No wonder the devil is scared of our God. He should be,

because it is written, “A fire goeth before him, and burneth
up his enemies round about.”

It is written that our God is a consuming fire. Fear no dragon.

Fear God. We, His people, are blessed to know that God is
for us. And if God be for us who can be against us? We will
fear no dragon.

Hide Yourself
The planet is experiencing days of troubles,
with even more in sight. Turbulences are
seemingly everywhere. Economic, political
and social forecasts are touted as dire.

We can respond in several ways. Some

will take a mind-over-matter approach and
deny unfolding events. Others will despair
and relent. Yet, there is a remnant of the prudent present on
the earth. Of these it is written, “A prudent man foreseeth
the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are
punished.”

Noah was such a prudent man. He had a direct communication

line with God, via the secret place. It is written, “But Noah found
grace in the eyes of the LORD. These are the generations of
Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations,
and Noah walked with God.”

The man walked with God. He knew how to abide with God in
the secret place of His presence. He has hidden there. Noah
and his family took up refuge inside God’s will. Noah and his
family did not drown with the rest.

Do not drown. Do not succumb to the rising tides. Do not let

the storm surges carry you away. Refuse to dwell at sea level.
Come up higher. Ascend to the hill of the Lord. Be established
on the mountain of the Lord’s house. Hide yourself...there.

It is time to pray and prepare.

Sonship Costs
The scripture says, “For as many as are
led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons
of God. For ye have not received the spirit
of bondage again to fear; but ye have
received the Spirit of adoption, whereby
we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself
beareth witness with our spirit, that we
are the children of God: And if children,
then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs
with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be
also glorified together.”

Do you know that we are children of God? As it is written, “...

as many as received him, to them gave he power to become
the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name...”

The Spirit of God Himself bears witness that we indeed are

children of God. That is wonderful! “And if children,” it is
written, “then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ;
if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified
together.”

That last statement is sobering indeed. Did you consider that

sonship will cost you? Even in life it is like that. If a known
person is scandalised, not only does the world mock him
but his children also. They too get to [directly or indirectly]
endure the scorn and disdain of the critics. Children suffer
with their parents and even with their fellow siblings.

Your sonship to God, the Father, will cost you. You will endure
sufferings due to your joint-heirdom with His Son. Sonship
costs. Are you willing to pay the price? It is worth every bit.

Scripture reading: Romans 8:14-17

Where He Leads You
The old hymn, ‘Where He Leads Me’ penned
by Ernest W. Blandy in1890, in its opening
stanza, includes these lyrics:
I can hear my Savior calling,
I can hear my Savior calling,
I can hear my Savior calling,
“Take thy cross and follow, follow Me.”
Where He leads me I will follow,
Where He leads me I will follow,
Where He leads me I will follow,
I’ll go with Him, with Him all the way.

The Lord is indeed our Shepherd and He calls us out to follow Him.
He desires to lead us. One such account is recorded about Jesus
and His three choicest disciples, “And after six days Jesus taketh
Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an
high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his
face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.”

These disciples indeed had an unusual revelation of Jesus. Yet to

encounter Him in that way, He had to lead them into a high mountain.
Reaching the high mountain involved some steep ascending. It was
a journey out of their comfort zones. Yet their efforts were rewarded.

Why was only these three chosen? Perhaps the other disciples
were known by Jesus, to be complainers or unwilling to ascend to
the steep places. Moses in his day only took Joshua.

How about you? Are you willing to follow where He leads you? Will
you go with Him all the way? In life, He may take you to some steep
places. Yet how wonderful it will be to encounter Him in those high
mountains!

Again, are you willing and will you be obedient?

Scripture reading: Matthew 17:1-2

Inseparable
God has committed Himself to your side
and your aid. It is written, “for he hath
said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake
thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord
is my helper, and I will not fear what man
shall do unto me.”

God committed to never leave nor forsake

you, making the two of you inseparable. You can therefore
boldly say, “The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what
man shall do unto me.

The word of God furthermore tells us that if God be for us,

who can be against us? The reality of God’s unwavering
presence and disposition for us provoked a profound question
in the Apostle Paul: “Who shall separate us from the love of
Christ?”

The answer was given through Paul, “For I am persuaded,

that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor
powers, nor things present, nor things to come,Nor height,
nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate
us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

You are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you.
Never separated. Never forsaken. What a reality! It is time to
win everyday. Defeat is not an option. After all, you and God

The Asking Price
It is written, “Again, the kingdom of heaven
is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly
pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of
great price, went and sold all that he had, and
bought it.”

Jesus spoke of pearls and the pearl of great

price. He likened the kingdom of heaven to a
man seeking and collecting valuable pearls
until he one day found the pearl of great price. To purchase the pearl
which had such a great price, he had to sell all his other pearls.

The kingdom of heaven and the things of God are very precious.
What are you willing to pay to walk in the deep things of the kingdom
of heaven? The realms of God is of great price. There are no
discounts and no specials. The price remains the same throughout
the ages. Money cannot buy any of it. It costs the full surrender
of the heart and whatever the heart treasures. As the scripture
records, “Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell
that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in
heaven: and come and follow me. But when the young man heard
that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.”

In history, very few had to sell all they had but all of God’s true
servants had to surrender full control of their hearts and lives to
Him. In this sense, the things of God will cost you everything. It
is written, “He that loveth father or mother more than me is not
worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is
not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth
after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and
he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. “

Are you willing to pay that much?

price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Happy Days
Jesus said, “Blessed are the poor in spirit:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst
after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall
obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the
children of God.
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you,
and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.”

To be ‘blessed’ means “to be enviably happy, fortunate,

blithesome, and prosperous.”

Jesus gave us ways to reposition ourselves into manifested

blessedness. We can make all our days, during this next season,
happy days by being the way He said. This Spring, be poor in
spirit, mourn, be meek, hunger and thirst after righteousness, be
merciful, be pure in heart, be a peacemaker, accept persecution
and accept reviling.

These next three months, you will undeniably be proven to be

enviably happy, fortunate, blithesome, and prosperous.

Those Who Tremble
Isaiah wrote the following words from
God, “Thus saith the LORD, The heaven
is my throne, and the earth is my footstool:
where is the house that ye build unto me?
and where is the place of my rest? For
all those things hath mine hand made,
and all those things have been, saith the
LORD: but to this man will I look, even to
him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my
word.”

God was singling out the ones who grab His attention. He
mentioned that He is seated in heaven but His focus is on a
certain type of people: those who tremble at His word. Those
were the ones who were of contrite spirit.

God values those who tremble in His response to His word.

Isaiah goes on to say, “Hear the word of the LORD, ye that
tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast
you out for my name’s sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified:
but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.”

God actually promised to show up for those who tremble at

His word and to do that for their joy. Do you desire God to
show up just for you? Then start exercising the kind of heart
which trembles at His word.

He is the Lord unchanging. He is looking for the opportunity

to show up on your behalf, with an answer. Will you let Him?
Will you tremble at His word?

Wait and Soar
In the natural, there are different modes
of transport, some more convenient than
others.

The mode of transport chosen is

determined by several factors, which
includes distance to be traveled and
terrain to be covered.

The remainder of this year is special terrain and demands the

highest mode of transport, especially given the rough terrain
to cover and the times you still need to recover.

In this year of great mysteries, it is wise to learn to travel by

flight. Flying is the most viable mode of spiritual travel if you
are to execute all that God mandated you. Things do not need
to develop slow in your life: better ways are available. Stress
is avoidable. Painful toil likewise. Higher ways are at your
disposal: you just have to wait [on Him].

The prophet Isaiah counseled that waiting on the Lord is the

spiritual airport, from where God’s children are taken into the
high altitudes of flight. God is known to act for those who wait
on Him. As Isaiah says, “For since the beginning of the world
men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the
eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him
that waiteth for him.”

Today, make a renewed determination to spend excess time

waiting on the Lord and start to soar.

Scripture reading: Isaiah 40:31

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and
not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

One Life
Years ago we heard a man of God say,
“One life for Christ is all I have.” What
a simple, yet profound statement.

We only have one life and we should

live it well. There is only one way to
achieve a life well lived and that is to
live it for Jesus. To live it for Jesus
means to live it with Jesus: in every motive, thought,
word and action.

We have to live with eternity in mind. That same eternity

that has been set in our hearts. Many people live for
fleeting things, only to reap the wind after all is said and
done.

The apostle Paul said, “For to me to live is Christ, and to

die is gain.” And again, “...He died for all, that those who
live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto
Him who died for them and rose again.”

As a Christian, live unto Him in motive, thought, word

and action. Do not afford yourself the opportunity to
live any part of your life outside of Christ. You would be
doing yourself an injustice, to live moments outside of
Jesus.

This season beckons to be lived in, with and for Jesus.

Are you ready?

Scripture reading: 2 Corinthians 5:14-16

For the love of Christ constraineth us, because we thus judge that if One died for all, then all were dead; and that He died
for all, that those who live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto Him who died for them and rose again.
Therefore, henceforth know we no man according to the flesh; yea, though we have known Christ according to the flesh,
yet now henceforth we know Him so no more.

Are You Ready?
There is four months left of this current
year. And we are at the beginnings of
a new natural season.

In the spirit, you must discern what

this next four months will be to you.
Here we are reminded of the words
of Lord Jesus, “Say not ye, There are
yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say
unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for
they are white already to harvest.”

Jesus was saying to the disciples that they were

postponing their harvest season until four months later. If
the context was today, they would be expecting answers
to be arriving at the start of 2024.

Jesus was saying to them, “Change your outlook. Do not

say, ‘In four months time...’ Look! All your answers are
here right now!”

Your outlook will determine your expectations and faith.

Make today the start of your harvest season. Imagine
before God, how answers and supernatural acceleration
will rain down on your life.

Look up. A flood of goodness is coming your way.

Are you ready for it?

Scripture reading: John 4:34-38

Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. Say not ye, There are yet four
months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white
already to harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth
and he that reapeth may rejoice together. And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth. I sent you to
reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.

Whilst They Betray, Pray

Yes, “A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and

As mentioned before, David mastered the art

of hiding himself in the secret place of God’s
presence. At one time, when King Saul was
looking for David to kill him, David had fled into
the woods, in the wilderness of Ziph. David
was hiding from Saul there. He seemed safe
but the Ziphites secretly went to Saul to betray David’s location.
They thought that David was merely hiding in the wilderness of
Ziph, when he was actually hiding in the secret place.

Whilst the Ziphites were going to betray David, the scripture

records the following prayers being prayed by David. “Save me, O
God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength. Hear my prayer,
O God; give ear to the words of my mouth. For strangers are risen
up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not
set God before them. Selah. Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord
is with them that uphold my soul.”

The Ziphites thought that David was held up in their place but
he already went into the secret place of prayer. He was now
untraceable. The enemies could not ping him in the spirit because
he was actually in a secret spiritual hiding place, whilst in plain
sight. Whilst in the secret place, he could not be destroyed. The
scripture tells us that when Saul acted on the Ziphite intel, David
had already moved to the wilderness of Maon. God had prompted
David to shift location.

Such is the power of the secret place, you will always be at least
one step ahead of the enemy. That was the story of David’s life.

What more can we say? Pray today and everyday.

Scripture reading: PsaLm 32: 6-8

For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great
waters they shall not come nigh unto him. Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt
compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I
will guide thee with mine eye.

The Hiding Place

The Apostle Paul said, “This know also, that
in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves,
covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers,
disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers,
false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers
of those that are good, Traitors, heady,
highminded, lovers of pleasures more than
lovers of God; Having a form of godliness,
but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

A sign of these last days is the extreme degree of depravity and

hostility, being displayed by man. Mankind seems to be at its vilest,
in terms of expression. Insults and lies seemingly abound: the strife
of tongues is difficult to avoid.

One day, King David found himself praying, “Let the lying lips be put
to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously
against the righteous.” David was experiencing the strife of tongues.
Accusing, truth-twisting people made him their target. Whilst praying
to God for help, he realised that there is a place which serves as
a refuge and hiding place, from this war of tongues. David then
exclaimed, “Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from
the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from
the strife of tongues. Blessed be the LORD: for he hath shewed me
his marvellous kindness in a strong city.” God had already prepared
the secret of His presence to hide David [and us] from the pride of
man and their striving tongues.

God’s children find that secret place in prayer. Jesus counseled His
disciples, “...when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou
hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret...” Will you
do that today? If you do, “thy Father which seeth in secret shall
reward thee openly.” You will be heavily and heavenly defended.

Scripture reading: Psalm 31:20-21

Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from
the strife of tongues. Blessed be the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city.

Under The Shadow
It was Moses who, by the Spirit of God, said,
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the
most High shall abide under the shadow of
the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my
refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I
trust.”

Moses knew the importance of dwelling

places. Imagine how Pharaoh must have
hated Moses and how many times he tried
to assassinate Moses. No wonder Moses said, “Surely he shall
deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome
pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his
wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow
that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness;
nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall
fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not
come nigh thee.”

Moses, who fled from Egypt earlier in his life because of a mere
fear of retribution, was now not even tempted to flee. Albeit, the
hostilities and definite threats to his life. He was demanding the
Pharaoh to release powerless slaves. The slaves had no power
to defend Moses nor was there any earthly law backing Moses.
Why was Moses so fearless? The answer is simple. Moses dwelt
in the secret place of the most High. And because of his location,
was under the constant protection of God’s shadow. God became
Moses’ shadow in the secret place.

Where is your dwelling place going to be for the latter of this year?
It will determine how strong you will finish this calendar year. The
patriarchs like Moses, David and even the Son of God, Jesus,
were fond of the secret place. How about you? Make God your
refuge: dwell in the secret place of the most High. He will surely
cover your six: No devil will be springing a surprise attack on you,
any time soon.
Scripture reading: Psalm 91:1-2
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD,
He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Resident Aliens
Jesus answered [Pilate], “My kingdom is
not of this world: if my kingdom were of this
world, then would my servants fight, that
I should not be delivered to the Jews: but
now is my kingdom not from hence.” Jesus
declared Himself to be a foreigner on earth.
He previously told the Jewish people, “...Ye
are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of
this world; I am not of this world.”

Do you know that you too are a foreigner on the earth? If you are
born again, then you were born from above. Jesus said that without
being born again from above, we cannot see the kingdom of God.
Think about it. You were born from another place. On identity
documents your place of origin is usually indicated. If you had
an identity document for your spirit, your document would have
indicated your place of birth as, “Heaven.” No matter where you
find yourself on earth, you are actually a foreigner. In fact you are
an alien. Peter, in The Expanded Bible [EXB] version, calls the
Christians, “foreigners [strangers; sojourners; resident aliens].”
You are a resident alien. You may be based on earth but not a full
citizen of earth. Paul said, “But our ·homeland [or citizenship] is in
heaven...”[EXB]

You may look like the people on earth but underneath your skin, you
are alien. You carry spiritual traits from your homeland. You carry a
spiritual passport from heaven. You should act out the alien in you.
The world should notice the virtues from your homeland: when they
doubt, you believe; when they fear, you are bold; when they curse,
you bless. Your faith in King Jesus, the king from your homeland, is
the victory that overcomes this world’s limitations and tendencies.

When they persecute and misunderstand you for your faith in God,
do not conform to them. Remind yourself, “I am a resident alien. I
will act boldly in God. The Lord is my helper.”

Scripture reading: 1 Peter 2:9-11

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises
of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the
people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and
pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul.

The Yoke, Destroyed
Isaiah recorded the following prophetic
utterance, “And it shall come to pass in that
day, that his burden shall be taken away
from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off
thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed
because of the anointing.”

The king of Assyria at that time was subjecting

nations and forcing them to pay tribute into
the coffers of Assyria. It was extortion of
the highest kind. Whoever would not comply or cease to comply,
would be decimated militarily. King Hezekiah and Jerusalem would
later face Assyria’s wrath. The Lord, by the mouth of the Prophet
Isaiah, was prophetically comforting His people that Assyria would
no longer be able to subject them: the yoke would be destroyed.

Yokes were used on an ox in the early farming industry, to harness

the combined strength of more than one ox. The yoke was used
to join the oxen so that they can move forward together, using the
joint force of their movement.

God did not want His people yoked and equalised. After all, they
were His special people, “having a commonwealth, heirs of the
covenants of promise, having hope and God in the world.” Isaiah
told them that the anointing would cause the yoke to be destroyed.
The smearing of God’s presence on them would cause them to
expand and push against the yoke, until it scatters into pieces,
beyond repair.

That prophecy would later come to pass when, in response to the

prayers of King Hezekiah and the Prophet Isaiah, God sent an
angel from heaven and decimated the Assyrian army. The king of
Assyria died a few days after his defeat.

What yoke has been restricting you? Allow the anointing to expand
you from within: that yoke will be obliterated very soon.

Scripture reading: Isaiah 10:27

And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off
thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

You Are Spirit
You are a spirit. You were born of the
Spirit. You are spirit. Jesus said, “...that
which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”

Spirit has its own nature and ways.

Jesus said, “The wind bloweth where
it listeth, and thou hearest the sound
thereof, but canst not tell whence it
cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born
of the Spirit.”

As spirit, your movements are like the wind. To gather

intelligence about you is as good as gathering intelligence
on the wind. Your opponents have a near impossible task
of predicting and containing you in this life.

You are spirit and what you bring forth is not the same
as others. Jesus said, “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the
flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you,
they are spirit, and they are life.”

You make an unerasable impact. The words you speak

are spirit and life. The people around you are desperate
for some life. You are placed in their atmosphere so that
they might have life, and that they might have it more
abundantly.

Your world unknowingly is gasping for spirit. Their souls

are desperate to have it. You are that spirit. This season,
let them have it.

Scripture reading: John 3:6-8

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye
must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it
cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit..

It Seemed A Joke
The book of Genesis records the events
preceding the destruction of Sodom. The
angels of God comes to Lot in an attempt to
save the lives of Lot and all who were his. The
scripture records the following interactions,
“And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here
any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and
thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in
the city, bring them out of this place: For we
will destroy this place, because the cry of
them is waxen great before the face of the Lord; and the Lord hath
sent us to destroy it. And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in
law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this
place; for the Lord will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that
mocked unto his sons in law.”

The Lord, in the above passage, gives Lot the opportunity to save
whosoever belongs to him in that city. What a profound grace was
being shown. In response, Lot went to his sons in law and told
them to get out of that place because the Lord was destroying the
city. However, sadly, to the sons in law, Lot seemed to be mocking.
They thought it was a joke and did not repent from their bad habit
of being out at night. By the morning the time had run out, as the
scripture records, “And when the morning arose, then the angels
hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters,
which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city...”
The sons-in-law would lose their lives because they perceived the
mercy call from God as a joke. They took spiritual things too lightly.

As it was in the days of Lot, so will it be at the coming again of

Jesus. Men will miss their moment of mercy, because it will seem
like a joke. There are things never to be mocked at, especially the
things of God. Many forfeit kairos moments of mercy and grace
because of a light attitude. Chronos runs out for them because
they would not redeem the kairos. Never let that be you.

Scripture reading: Genesis 19:12-14

Protect Your Channel
In the prophetic ministry, we believe that
change can be spiritually effected. God is
with the mouth and hands of His prophets.

However, He has limited the recipients of

His prophetic benefits to the following:
1. Those who believe on His prophets.
2. Those who receive His prophet in the
name of a prophet i.e. as a prophet.

Many are not aware of the above prerequisites. And can thus
not respond and receive, as the Spirit of God desires.

Then there are those who are so fleshly that they cannot
“perceive that this is an holy man of God,” as that blessed
woman perceived in the book of 2 Kings and eventually received
a miracle baby.

Finally, some err because of the curse of familiarity. These are

they who start out in the spirit but are bewitched by the curse
of familiarity and end up in the flesh. They used to discern the
prophet but through the temptation of carnality, within their own
members, shut down their eyes of faith. Now they cannot see
past the flesh, not realizing that the excellency of the power
of God dwells within vessels of clay. God would have it no
other way. That thief, “familiarity” eventually then rob this latter
group of their miracles and they end up in a backslidden state
unawares. They are the kind for which the anointing of God no
longer stir.

Decide never to be any of the kind that errs. Jesus loves you
too much. Remain spiritual. Life is Spiritual. Never shut down
your channel.

Scripture reading: 2 Kings 4:8-10

And IT FELL ON A DAY, THAT ELISHA passed to shunem where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. and so
it was that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread. And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive
that this is an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually. Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and

I Have Commanded
Many years ago there was a drought in the
land of Israel, for three and a half years.
This drought was prophesied by Elijah. As it
is written, “And Elijah the Tishbite, who was
of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab,
As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before
whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor
rain these years, but according to my word.”

What happened next is quite moving. It is written, “And the word

of the LORD came unto him, saying, Get thee hence, and turn
thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is
before Jordan. And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook;
and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.”

God spoke to His servant Elijah and told him where to go during
the drought. Elijah was to find himself exempt from it. God had,
ahead of time, commanded the ravens concerning Elijah. The
ravens were commanded to feed him there in that location,
Cherith. Oh God is so kind!

The brook would later dry up and yet again, the Lord would once
again, ahead of time, command someone else to sustain Elijah.

Are you a servant of your Lord? He has no favorites. We know

that God has already commanded that you be fed, no matter
what crisis will come your way.

He provides before the time, by commanding someone or

something concerning you. He will keep you alive during famine,
drought or any other crisis that may come.

This season, stay in faith in Christ Jesus.

Scripture reading: 1 Kings 17:7-9

And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land. And the word of
the LORD came unto him, saying, Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have
commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.

His Manifest Presence
The scripture teaches us that God is
omnipresent. In other words, He is
everywhere. It was David that said,
“Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or
whither shall I flee from thy presence? If
I ascend up into heaven, thou art there:
if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art
there.”

Man is unable to flee from His omnipresence. Even in hell, He

is. Yet, the people in hell are not experiencing His presence.
His presence is peace, joy and love. In hell they are in
torments. Jesus said so, “And in hell he lift up his eyes, being
in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his
bosom.”

God, although everywhere, does not manifest Himself

everywhere. He does not make all men aware of His presence,
there with them.

He did however, manifest Himself to you as a Christian and by

His Spirit dwell in you.

All you have to do, to become conscious of His presence is

to draw near unto God. How? By talking to Him. By taking the
time everyday to become still as you read the Bible and talk to
Him about what you are reading.

Draw near to Him today and experience His manifest presence.

Scripture reading: James 4:8

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

Be Glad
Today, get happy and be glad. God is
on the throne. The psalmist said,“This
is the day which the LORD hath made;
we will rejoice and be glad in it.” And
again, “Be glad in the LORD, and
rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for
joy, all ye that are upright in heart.”

God loves His people to be glad. The wise child of God

is always glad. It is written, “Let all those that seek thee
rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy
salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.”

Those who love God’s deliverances in their lives, should

always be glad. God is provoked to help those are glad
and rejoice in Him.

In fact, gladness so provokes Him that He sends now

prosperity, to those ones. Thus it is declared, “This is
the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and
be glad in it. Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O
LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity. Blessed
be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have
blessed you out of the house of the LORD. God is the
LORD, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice
with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.”

Today, be wise and unleash your unfair advantage:

Rejoice and Be Glad in Him! He is sending now
prosperity.

Scripture reading: Psalm 118:24-29

Look Now
It is written, “After these things the word of the
LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying,
Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy
exceeding great reward. And Abram said,
Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go
childless...And he brought him forth abroad,
and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell
the stars, if thou be able to number them: and
he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And
he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to
him for righteousness. And he said unto him, I am the LORD that
brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to
inherit it.”

There are instances where the word of the Lord comes in a vision,
to give you vision. The Lord came to Abram in a vision and told
him, “Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to
number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he
believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.”

God gave Abram a fresh canvass on which to visualize and imagine

his future. He said to him, “Look now...” What would Abram’s future
look like? Vast: as the stars of the sky. That imagery so struck a
chord in Abram, that the scripture says, “And he believed in the
LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.” Abram became
a righteous man at that instant! For thousands of years men still
talk about that moment. Our righteousness in Christ Jesus is of the
same kind.

God is in the process of giving you such a life altering vision. Abram
knew how to be alone with God at the twilight. So should you.

Today, take time to be alone with God, to pray and contemplate on

this great Spring season ahead of you. We can imagine, God giving
you a renewed vision, a refreshed canvas and invigorating impetus
to see greatness manifest this month.

Scripture reading: Genesis 15:5-7

Command
The Roman centurion came to Jesus and
said, “... speak the word only, and my servant
shall be healed.”

The Lord Jesus, Creator of the universe, was

amazed at the statement and commended the
great faith, expressed by it. The centurion’s
reasoning was this, “For I am a man under
authority, having soldiers under me: and I say
to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another,
Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.”

The centurion understood command structures and how these

convey and direct both authority and power. The man had the
fundamental understanding, necessary to benefit from God’s power
here on earth. The only thing now was to add faith and bang!: the
power of God was his to experience.

He received the faith when he heard about Jesus: what the Lord
was saying and what the Lord was doing. He knew that Jesus must
then have rank and commanded in the invisible realm: Lordship, in
other words. The centurion believed in Jesus and faith came to him
by hearing. He then acted on his faith by coming to Jesus. His faith
by this act, was proven to be alive.

Jesus marveled at this man’s great faith, held up by the man’s basic,
yet profound understanding. The Lord Jesus then unleashed His
command. Thus it is stated, “And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go
thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his
servant was healed in the selfsame hour.”

Faith and its miracles work by command. Commands work when you
are under direct command. Let us repeat this, “[Your] commands
work when you are under direct command.” The Roman centurion
understood this. Do you?

Scripture reading: Matthew 8:10

When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith,
no, not in Israel.

Increased Bandwidth
The Apostle Paul mentioned that a Christian’s
heart can be narrowed or enlarged. This
directly affects the strength and breadth of
spiritual flow.

One may call it spiritual bandwidth. A Christian

can receive from the Spirit via broadband
or narrow band. Off course broadband is
exponentially better: more can be transmitted,
faster. And according to Paul, both the
transmitter and the receiver should be on a similar bandwidth to
avoid spiritual throttling.

In the case of the Corinthian congregation, they were seriously

narrowed in their heart. Although Paul was using broadband to
transmit, the Christians were limited by their lack of bandwidth. Paul
lamented to the Christians at Corinth, “Our mouth is open to you,
Corinthians [we are hiding nothing, keeping nothing back], and our
heart is expanded wide [for you]! There is no lack of room for you
in [our hearts], but you lack room in your own affections [for us]. By
way of return then, do this for me—I speak as to children—open
wide your hearts also [to us].” - AMPC

Are you on broadband connection with unlimited data or being

throttled on your cheap narrow band connection? Many people
miss their kairos to be mentored, counseled, promoted and blessed
because they refuse to open up, to the ones appointed by God to
aid them. So often we have discovered this to be the restriction, in
those whom God desires to rush forward and break into another
level.

Where are you at? Have you asked God to search your heart and
check your line for any restrictions? Are the spiritual data packets
traveling freely over your connection? It is time to open up that
dormant capacity.

Scripture reading: 2 Corinthians 6:11-13

own bowels. Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged.

The Crush
The Lord Jesus told Paul “My power is
made perfect in weakness.”

In other words, His power excels in

weakness. The power of God explodes
in a pressing. When you put pressure
on the vessel, the power reacts. This
is the open secret of the power of God,
when it indwells a man.

Nothing shows the weakness of men like affliction.

At face value, affliction seems to be negative and
debilitating, yet for the spiritual man it is an elixir, serving
to stimulate and provoke the power of God.

Paul knew this and said “For we which live are alway
delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of
Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. So
then death worketh in us, but life in you.”

Paul understood that the olive unleashes its life when

the outside pressure crushes its flesh. This is the secret
to the release of fresh anointing oil. Fresh anointing can
be extracted from the freshly crushed outward man.

Today, awaken to this truth and embrace the crush.

Scripture reading: 2 Corinthians 4:7-12

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are
troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast
down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might
be made manifest in our body. For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus
might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

Tested Then Trusted
Most high-end products undergo testing
before the manufacturer will put its stamp
of approval on it. You are such an high-
end product. Made in the image of God.
The most high-end of all.

The key questions that the manufacturer

ask itself are, “Is this product worthy of our
brand? Can we risk our market value on it?” By passing the
testing process, the product quality is then guaranteed.

God does the same. The bible tells us that “the LORD weighs
the spirits.” That word “weigh” means to test, prove or
measure. He loves to guarantee His products. Thus He only
puts forth into the market what has been tested. Testing as a
topic is mentioned numerous times in the scriptures.

God will test you before He will use you for higher service. You
must prove to be faithful. As it is written, “Knowing this, that
the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have
her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting
nothing.”

Jesus said, “He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful

also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also
in much.” He is making you into the product that will not fail,
once unleashed into His special purpose for your life.

Are you willing to be quality guaranteed by Him?

came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest
thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond
tree. Then said the LORD unto me, Thou
hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to
perform it”. The AMP version puts that last
verse this way, “Then said the Lord to me,
You have seen well, for I am alert and active,
watching over My word to perform it.”

God was saying that He is present with the word, watching and
ensuring that His word is accomplished. We had a friend in school
who tried his hand at the athletics discipline of javelin throwing.
The only problem he had was his tendency to not let go of the
javelin, that he was throwing. He would actually accompany the
javelin through the air. So his efforts looked like a combination of
javelin throwing and long jump. Needless to say, neither he nor the
javelin proceeded far.

God is like our friend, when He throws [speaks] His word, He goes
with His word. Unlike our friend however, God and His word goes
the full distance, breaking records every time.

God spoke through Isaiah and said, “I have spoken it, I will also
bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.”

You see God cannot separate Himself from His word. As it is

written, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with
God, and the Word was God.”

Jesus, the Word that became flesh, said, “He that sent Me is with
Me. He has not left Me alone.” God does not abandon His word,
He accompanies it unto fulfillment.

He will accompany His word to you, actively watching over the

Word to perform it. Know that.

Scripture reading: Jeremiah 1:12

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.
Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.

Encountering Jesus in the Gathering

Discerning and yielding to the move of
God in a corporate setting is an art that
few are practiced in. Knowing the Holy
Spirit is moving in a cooperate gathering
and receiving from Him is so vital. A
cooperate gathering is us making room for
and preparing an atmosphere for the Lord
Jesus to step into the room.

Five keys for encountering Jesus when He enters the room:

1. Make room in your heart for Him by your hunger and thirst
for Him. For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the
hungry soul with goodness.
2. We must engage Him diligently. Casual enquirers get
nothing. Press in and touch the hem of His garment. An
earnest heartfelt cry will stop Jesus in His tracks and turn
His face and attention towards you. The gospels are full of
such examples.
3. He shows up as He wills, speaks as He wills and touches
in the way He wills. Let Him do it His way.
4. Expect and catch the “suddenlies” of God. He loves to show
up suddenly at unexpected times in an unexpected way.
When you perceive Him moving: say to Him, “Holy Spirit I
receive what you have for me. Thank you for not passing
me by.” Then you go ahead and yield to His response.
5. Reverence the move of God. In the presence of a dignitary,
people are always mindful of their actions, words and
attitudes exhibited: always putting their best foot forward.
The Holy Spirit is the Dignitary of dignitaries. When He
is moving refrain from vain conversations, beware of
distractions and carnal agendas.

Scripture reading: Genesis 18:1-5

And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; And he lift up his
eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed
himself toward the ground, And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy
servant: Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree: And I will fetch
a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And
they said, So do, as thou hast said.

I Was Glad
David said, “I was glad when they said
unto me, Let us go into the house of the
Lord.”

The very idea of going to the house of

the Lord, evoked such deep emotion from
inside of King David. Kings are not stirred
by insignificant things. They have much
they can give their attention and affections to. David would
write elsewhere, “One thing have I desired of the Lord, that
will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all
the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to
enquire in his temple.” And again, “To see thy power and thy
glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.”

David treasured the house of the Lord for three keys reasons:
1. He could there behold the beauty or glory of the Lord.
2. He could there see the power of God demonstrated.
3. He could there enquire of the Lord direction, protection
and all good things.

Such were the advantages of dwelling in the house of the

Lord that another psalmist strongly said, “Blessed are they
that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee.”

Are you glad at the prospect of gathering today, with the

church as His holy house? You ought to be. Be ready to
experience His presence, power and answers in your life
today.

Scripture reading: Psalm 122:1

I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord..

Let Us Hear Him Speak

Watching unfolding world events, can tempt
one to start doubting whether anything can be
done to arrest the downward spiral of mankind
or at least the pace at which it is happening.
It seems that the pain and suffering of man
has exponentially increased over the last few
years. The cost of living have skyrocketed, yet
it seems the perceived value of human life has
similarly plunged. The heart of man has waxed
cold, just as our Lord Jesus said it would.
These were the words of our Lord, “And many false prophets shall
rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound,
the love of many shall wax cold.”

We are living in the time of false prophets who daily broadcast

their fear bulletins, filled with false evidence, pseudo science
and propaganda. Mankind is increasingly being coerced towards
animation and away from the pursuit of and trust in their Creator.
The inanimate is now not only being made to appear alive but even
life-giving. During these times crisis, there are many voices leading
man further into crisis.

Therefore we are glad that you are living in our generation. You are
the only Jesus we have on this earth. We are so thankful that we can
hear Him through you. One word of encouragement or counsel from
you can prevent a suicide, a divorce, a mistake, save a business or
even a life.

Have you thought of how much good you can do in one day, by one
word released from your lips? Jesus is still speaking. You are His
voice. He is yearning to help the lives of men. Despite the many
false prophets, false witnesses and false news bulletins, we have
you! Your feet are beautiful, and your voice valuable. Your presence
makes a lasting difference.

From today, let us hear Him speak...through you...more.

Scripture reading: Isaiah 52:7

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good
tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26
Speaking
The song writer coined some simple yet
profound words, “Quiet Christians, die
quietly.”

Think about it. You became a Christian

because you were the opposite of quiet. As
it is written, “But what saith it? The word is
nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart:
that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the
Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised
him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man
believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is
made unto salvation.”

The word of faith was in your mouth and you were transported unto
salvation thereby. If you were quiet salvation would have been
beyond your reach. Yet because you believed in your heart, you
bold to said, “Jesus Christ is my Lord.”

The way you entered salvation is the way you flourish in it: with the
heart you believe and with the mouth you confess.

This is called the spirit of faith, “We having the same spirit of faith,
according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken;
we also believe, and therefore speak.”

The just walk by faith, by believing with the heart and speaking
with the mouth. God’s grace and power works for and through
them, that believe with the heart and speak with the mouth. You
need that kind of working in your life, every day.

So this week, don’t be quiet. Quiet Christians, die quietly. Be

speaking. As it is written, “for he hath said...So that we may boldly
say...”

Scripture reading: 2 Corinthians 4:13

We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe,
and therefore speak.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27
Exactly
Earlier this month we dwelt with Martha and
Mary. Particularly, the Lord’s statement
to Martha, “But one thing is needful: and
Mary hath chosen that good part, which
shall not be taken away from her.”

Mary was unknowingly preparing for a

moment of God’s intervention in their lives.
The hearing of the word of God was imparting hearing and
hearing bringing faith. She was being prepared for a kairos
moment.

Kairos is the moment of God’s intervention in your life. It is the

moment that the answer comes, that the promise is fulfilled,
etc.

Capturing your Kairos moments for the remainder of this year,

is most needful. We are told by Paul to redeem the time. These
are Paul’s words, “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as
fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are
evil.” That word ‘time’ is the Greek word ‘Kairos.’

The kairos redeeming life is called the circumspect walk and

is lived by the wise. The word ‘circumspectly’ used by Paul is
the Greek word ‘akribōs’ which means ‘exactly or perfectly.’
God wants us to walk precisely in this world. It’s an exact
science: this walk with God.

Live the remainder of 2023 exactly, making the most of every

kairos moment presented to you.

Scripture reading: Ephesians 5:15-16

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Moved With
Let us say this again, Jesus was moved with
compassion for the multitudes. Both His
healing ministry and His teaching ministry
was energized by compassion for the
ignorant and suffering. As it is written, “Then
saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly
is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray
ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he
will send forth labourers into his harvest.
And when he had called unto him his twelve
disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast
them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of
disease.” And again, “And Jesus, when he came out, saw much
people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because
they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach
them many things.”

Jesus knew that the people were being destroyed because of

a lack of knowledge. He not only as an emergency, send them
healing, He also desired to keep them free. And thus taught them,
sometimes for days, none stop.

What moves you? The apostle Paul said that the love of Christ
constraint him and his team. And therefore they no longer lived for
themselves but for Him that loved them and gave Himself for them.

Every single person is moved by something. Some are moved by

the values they acquired during their upbringing. Others are moved
by the energy of their friends circle. Other people are moved by
the drive within them for acceptance or affirmation. Many more
people are moved by some other negative motivation. Countless
are moved by lies they were told.

God, moved by His love for the world, gave His Son so that we
could avoid death and enjoy eternal life. Again, what moves you?
Be rightly moved.

Scripture reading: Mark 6:34

And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep
not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.

Spiritual Acumen
The word ‘acumen’ means, “keenness,
quickness and depth of understanding,
perception or discernment, especially as
it pertains to practical matters; the ability
to judge well and make quick decisions.”

Oxford Languages tells us that the word,

‘acumen’ is a late 16th century word from
Latin, meaning ‘sharpness, point.’

This life demands that we possess spiritual sharpness. You

need to develop strong spiritual acumen. We mean keenness,
quickness and depth of understanding, and perception in
spiritual matters: so that you are always able to respond to
God rapidly.

It is God who spoke by the prophet Isaiah and said, “Behold, I

will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know
it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the
desert.” He was asking His people if they were not going to
perceive and discern the new thing that He would be doing.

It’s a different season and God is doing a new thing. You must
perceive what God is doing with you and around you this
Spring 2023, so that you can go with His flow.

Make a determination that you will develop a stronger spiritual

acumen early on in this upcoming last quarter of 2023. You
cannot thrive this remainder of the year without it.

Scripture reading: Isaiah 43:19

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and
rivers in the desert.

In The Holy Spirit
Paul said, “I say the truth in Christ, I
lie not, my conscience also bearing
me witness in the Holy Ghost...”
The apostle was here attesting to
the truthfulness of a statement he
was about to make, concerning his
sentiments regarding Israel. He knew
that the truthfulness of his testimony
could only be substantiated in the Holy Spirit.

Paul would go on to say, “For the kingdom of God is not

meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy
in the Holy Ghost.” Every aspect of the kingdom of God
is located in the Holy Spirit. Life in the Holy Spirit is life in
the kingdom of God. That is the life under God’s domain.
It is the eternal life: a life lived in a consciousness of
knowing and experiencing God.

God desires for us to know Him and commune with Him.

This is called the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, where we
literally partake of His vitality, substance and person.

The Christian life is lived in the Holy Spirit. We are told,

“Walk ye in the Spirit...”

Our exhortation to you is, to live this month experientially

in the tangible presence of the kingdom of God. Over
the next thirty one days, be found to be in the Holy
Spirit. May all you do and say be proven to be in the
Holy Spirit.

Scripture reading: Romans 9:1

DECIDE
Prayer of Salvation
We trust you have been blessed by this devotional. We
invite you to make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life by
praying this:

“O Lord God, I come to You in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Your Word says, “...whosoever shall call on the name of
the Lord shall be saved” (Acts 2:21).

I ask Jesus Christ, the Son of God, to come into my

heart, to be the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into
my spirit. According to the bible in Romans 10:9, “That
if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and
shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him
from the dead, thou shalt be saved, “I declare that I am
now saved; I am born again from above by God’s Spirit;
I am a child of the Most High God! I now have Christ
dwelling in me! I now walk in the consciousness of my
new life in Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord!”
