Title:
The constructiveness of JLS 1113, Effective Speaking, towards intern students from Bachelor
of Communication (Hons) (Corporate Communication) in Selangor University during
internship

Statement of Problem:
University of Selangor is the institution that provides a high quality of education people who
would like to pursue their education level by providing a better lecturing in education and
affordable fees to students. Students will be provided with a proper skills to be used in
industry in future through the courses that offered to them and related subject to polish their
ability to perform well.therefore,Does the subject, JLS 1113, Effective Speaking, benefits the
interns from Bachelor of Communication (Hons) (Corporate Communication) in Selangor
University?

Framework:
Dependent variables: The constructiveness of JLS 1113, Effective Speaking, towards intern
students from Bachelor of Communication (Hons) (Corporate Communication) in Selangor
University during internship

Independent Variables: 1) Eye contact

2) Tone of voice
3) Facial expression
Research Objective:
1. To study the constructiveness of eye contact element used by students
2. To study the effectiveness of tone of voice used by students
3. To study the influence of facial expression used by students.

Research Question:

1. How far this subject can help students during their internship training?
2. How this subject can help students to develop their self-confidence when they are
confronted with a superior officer?
3. Do they practice what they have learned about this subject during their internship
training?
4. Does eye contact element used by students affect their behaviour during internship?
5. Does tone of voice elements used by students affects their behaviour during
internship?
6. Does facial expression elements used by students affects their behaviour during
internship?

Review of Related Literature:

1. Books: using book that related towards the communication and it is also involve the
element in communication.
2. Online: searching on the linked online information that suitable with the topic.
3. Newspaper: search on the latest info about the intern students.
4. Article: read the related article to improve knowledge about the news.
5. Journal: read on others journal to get a better understanding about related
information.
Methodology:

A. Qualitative:
1. Interview: We will interview a few students whose going to go for internship
and they opinion about the subject.
2. Textual: It is based on the questionnaire that we provide towards other student
from our questionnaire which is they can state their own opinion about the
subject.

B. Quantitative:
1. Focus Group: We only focus towards student who doing their internship and
student who will go internship in future.
2. Questionnaire: Our survey is based on our research objective to collect the
data and check either its answer may achieve the objective of the research.
