TeenStreet PrayerTeam 2023
WELCOME - we are very happy that YOU are part of TeenStreet PrayerTeam this year!
We hope that these pages can help you to structure your week in the Prayerteam.

****
We want TeenStreet to be a safe place where teenagers can develop a genuine relationship with Jesus.
You, as an adult, are the closest person to the teenagers; we encourage you to pray for them and also with
them. Be bold and take time to pray. You do not need a special gifting for that, but we do encourage you to
be wise, and sensitive to how God is leading you.
Here are some guidelines that might be helpful when praying with teenagers:
Simple prayers
Try to pray short, simple prayers. Ask the teenager what he/she wants to pray for. Please feel free to start by
praying that the Holy Spirit will be present and would show you how you should pray. Wait a moment for
God to speak.
This means that you are careful about laying hands on them because teenagers do not always feel free to
express clear boundaries. If the teenager is comfortable with it, you can take their hand or touch their arm,
but do not put your hand on their head. We are brothers and sisters standing side-by-side, we do not come
from above.
No theological discussions
Do not get into theological discussions with the person you are praying for. Respect the diversity of age,
culture, church backgrounds and different views on how God works.
No counselling
When difficult topics such as depression, suicidal thoughts, severe anxiety, sexual abuse, self-harm, eating
disorders, drugs etc. come up, do not start counselling, just pray a short prayer. In accordance with
TeenStreet’s adult policy, these topics cannot be kept in full confidentiality, you must report them to your
Home Office rep., who will report it to the Child Safety leader.
REST IN GOD!
Trust that God moves and meets with those we pray for. We do our part and God does His part.
God wants to speak to us!

Big Prayerteam
The big PrayerTeam (when all members of prayerTeam meet together) meets daily for:
*Updates and info 8.45-9.00
*Morningworship with the SoulcareTeam 9.00-9.30
*Afternoonworship 18.00-19.00 (PrayerTeam eats dinner 17.30)
*ThroneRoom-Prayer (offering personal Prayer to Teens in their mother tongue)
In the worshipmeetings with the Big Prayerteam we encourage everybody to feel free to lead in prayer,
share pictures, visions, bibleverses etc: when you pray/share here be focused and not too long.
Small Prayergroups
During the week all PrayerTeam-members are part of small prayergroups. In the small groups you meet daily
for:
*Prayer/study/personal encouragement
*Praying for specific TS areas (where you also take contact with the members of your specific area for
prayerneeds, offering personal prayer/blessing)
The small prayergroups-tasks are also about:
*Taking care of/ and offering personal prayer in / the Prayer Room – (one whole day/week per group)
*Praying in the sleeping-areas (one evening/week per group, at 11pm-12.30 am).
*We will also encourage every teammember to listen to God about for example joining an Outreach Team as
“background prayer-support”, take part of, and pray for, workshops/speakers/teens.
Join and pray for the seminars with Elisabeth Rodrigues about listening to God.
Songlist
On site you will get a songlist of the different songs we will sing during our daily worshipmeetings.
***
*PrayerModels: Use different ways of praying in the group, be creative! You can sit in a circle and pray, you
can pray two and two, you can pray in female and malegroups. Encourage the groupmembers to feel free to
share pictures, bibleverses, songs ect.
*Small group-contacts: A good way to keep effective contact in the smallgroup is to use some kind of social
media app, like Whatsapp, for an example.
How to structure a smallgroupmeeting:
*Starter. Start every day with sitting in a circle and let everyone tell about how their former day was/ if they
have been sleeping well, and so on. Ask if they have a personal prayerrequest, pray for each person in the
circle.
*Icebreaker “Get to know each other”. Take a short time everyday for a “get to know each other question”.
Sit in a circle and let everybody answer one by one (of course it is always ok to pass on the question to next
person).
Day 1: Do you have a favouriteplace for praying at home? Why do you like it there?
Day 2: Which person (except Jesus) inspires you the most in the Bible? Why?
Day 3: Which is your favourite Christian song? Why?
Day 4: Which of the miracles Jesus did would you the most have wished to be part of?
Day 5: How can we recognize Gods voice in different ways? How do we know it is not our own thoughts and
how do we tell a person about something we have received?
Day 6: Do you have a favourite bible vers? Why?
*PrayerAreas. On arrival every group will get their final Prayer-Area; it can be to pray for a country, for a
specific TS-domain/department/homerep ect. Every small groups starts the week with establishing contact
with their specific prayer-area. It is good to offer the different areas the possibility of getting groupprayer but
also personal prayer for everybody who wishes. Be careful to listen in prayerrequests from your areas (both
explicit and non-explicit). Pray and listen to God for words of encouragement for the groups.
*Bible study: After taking good and enough of time for prayer, take also time to talk about the daily
teaching. Use the DBS (Discovery Bible Study-method) described on page 3 in the Serviceteam-manual.
*Relax: Take a coffe or an icecream together in the group and just have a relaxed time together!
Schedule (this content and times are preliminary, changes might occur during the week)
*When you have arrived and installed yourself you are welcome to come by in the PrayerRoom and take personal time to pray for
the first day, the meetings ect. Small-group leaders take contact with Esgrim and Titta for latest information e
