19 Headlight housing - removal and installation

Warning:
These vehicles are equipped with halogen gas-filled headlight bulbs which are under pressure and may
shatter if the surface is damaged or the bulb is dropped. Wear eye protection and handle the bulbs
carefully, grasping only the base whenever possible. Do not touch the surface of the bulb with your fingers
because the oil from your skin could cause it to overheat and fail prematurely. If you do touch the bulb
surface, clean it with rubbing alcohol.

1 Remove the headlight bulb (see Section 17).

2 Remove the side marker light (see Section 21 ).

3 Remove the retaining bolts, detach the housing and withdraw it from the vehicle (see illustration) .

4 Installation is the reverse of removal. Be sure to check headlight adjustment (see Section 18 ).
