Reason
Hello everyone, today we will talk about a topic "Students after graduation and
jobs". Do you know what percentage of students find a job after graduating? Many
higher education institutions announce that the rate of students having jobs after
graduation reaches more than 90%, even 97-98%. But the unemployment situation
in Ho Chi Minh City in 2022 has nearly 150,000 unemployed workers receiving
unemployment benefits, including 83,000 unskilled workers and nearly 46,000
workers with university degrees or higher. Thus, up to 88% of unemployed
workers are unskilled and university graduates. So what is the cause? There is no
career orientation before studying, Graduates lack work skills, The quality of
training is not really linked to social needs, Foreign language proficiency is still
limited and most of all, it depends on oneself. Every student always complains and
blames fate. So what is the deeper cause and how to fix it? So let's get to the first
part of the reason. (I invite Bao to talk about the next part)
II. Specific cause
+ First, about the labor situation in the country:
As you can see, Vietnam's economy in 2023 continues to face many difficulties, all
organizations forecast that economic growth in 2023 will be 0.1 to 1.0 percentage
points lower than the growth rate in 2022. Therefore, the global labor market
outlook remains uncertain and the youth unemployment rate remains high. The
unemployment rate for young people 15-24 years old in the fourth quarter of 2023
is 7.62%, down 0.24 percentage points compared to the previous quarter and down
0.08 percentage points over the same period last year. The number of unemployed
young people (people aged 15-24) in 2023 is about 437 thousand people,
accounting for 41.3% of the total number of unemployed people. The youth
unemployment rate in 2023 is 7.63%, down 0.15 percentage points compared to
the previous year
+ Second, the current training environment in many places provides massive
training, lacks quality, and has no clear career goals, making today's students
passive. Students today only listen attentively to a lot of theory but do not have
many job skills, making it difficult for students after graduation. After students
graduate, what do they generally perceive as lacking in themselves? And how to
meet the company's requirements when applying for a job? To say that, I would
like to invite Nghia
Thank you Bao for saying the above, next I will continue talking about Graduates.
In general, current students have limited English proficiency and nowadays every
job requires at least basic English proficiency. Many students are passive in the job
search process. An unimpressive resume is unimpressive due to lack of experience.

Businesses and companies today require not only professional qualifications but
also soft skills. Students need to develop communication skills, situation handling,
teamwork, and English. Much more difficult, some companies only recruit people
with experience and appearance if you don't have it, which is a real disadvantage.
And there is also the gap between labor supply and demand and the situation of
"surplus teachers and lack of workers". causing many students to fall into
unemployment or work in the wrong profession. So how can you avoid
unemployment after graduating? Build a plan for yourself. If you don't know how
to do it, we will guide you. Next, I invite Dong to guide everyone in making plans
for themselves.
Hello everyone, next I will help you build a plan for yourself
III. How to build a plan after graduating from college
+ First, think carefully about what you want, clearly define your goals, what you
like, what you need, what you have and any other shortcomings that need to be
supplemented in yourself.
+ Second, after thinking carefully, determine the necessary skills for your progress
goals
+ Third, evaluate your own experience and skills. If there are any shortcomings,
supplement them and renew yourself every day. Try to be steadfast with yourself.
Once you have done that, don't try to retreat. after.
+ Next, adjust your goals to suit yourself, don't do something too big, but do the
smallest goals, step by step, don't rush. Once you've completed the small goals,
you'll move on to slightly bigger and then even bigger goals.
+ Then next, build a more detailed plan for those small plans so you don't miss
them
+ Remember to always seek help, even if it's just mental help, when it's the most
difficult, you really need it.
+ Finally, measure and calibrate yourself, look and listen to everything around you,
think carefully and decide for yourself.
With that plan for yourself, will you have a stable job after graduation? Hoang will
give you suggestions
Thank you Dong for a plan and full of useful advice. I will give you some pretty
good suggestions to perfect your own plan.
IV. Suggestions for what students need to do after graduation
+ Once you've seen yourself, experience more. When you're still a student at
school, try to experience as much as possible and for what? To see what we like
and what we are passionate about, find our passion and try to do it more. Having
enough experience will help you build an impressive CV when you apply for a job
at a big company, when employers look and Wow how impressed you are with
your experiences. The competitions you participated in, the things you did during
your years in college.
+ Then always remember that we should take additional skills courses, learning is
lifelong so no matter how good you are at studying, don't consider yourself too
perfect, see where you are wrong. And correct your mistakes to add new things to
yourself.
+ Let yourself know what you like to find internship opportunities in the right
field. If you have the right career and the right passion, you will be happy when
you go to work and most of all, you will not regret your decision.
+ More than anything I know, when students graduate, they will be under a lot of
pressure about their career, but don't forget to spend time with your family and
friends. They will be your spiritual support no matter how difficult things are, don't
give up, at least with yourself.
So this is what students need to know after graduating to make it easier to find a
job. Thank you for listening. I have a question for you, what do you feel when you
hear about this presentation orientation? Thank you.
