We have designed the files in scale 20/22 mm 1:72. But they are optimal to scale them down to
15mm or scale them up to 28mm.
No support structures are required on the part of the slicer software.
(If supports needed, seldom, the file name has this info inside)
The files are designed for a print-bed 8” x 8”. Most buildings will fit upscaled to 28mm. If not they are
divided.
For our prints, we prefer PLA. This has several reasons
• PLA is a biodegradable plastic. For PLA, the base material is polylactic acid
• a not negligible aspect that the printing plate does not have to be heated or only at low
temperature.
• a very important point. In PLA, the warping effect is minimal compared to ABS.
The printed parts of the building can be painted. The visible print layers customary at FFF can be
post-treated by grinding. The best trick is, however, the laying of plaster on the surfaces, where no stone
structures can be seen. As you can see in the assembled model buildings of the kickstarter campaign, this
structure is absolutely convincing and realistic. Plastering is easy. Use wood glue in the areas where no stones
and cracks can be seen. Immediately after application, spread the glue with the finest sand. After drying, the
model can be painted. You will see the best surface texture that you can think of.

Printer Settings
To make it fast, the models can be printed with a thickness of 0.3mm. However the quality increases, the lower
the layers are. Also think of sufficient infill. This is because it is certain that the top print layer is opaque and
smooth. We achieved the best results with the following settings:
0.2mm, infill 20%, 50-100mm sec
But everyone knows his own printer best and try to get the desired result. Ultimately it depends on which
printer you take. This can be a cheap Geetech or an expensive Ultimaker. They should all work. Scaling The
models are designed to work on a scale of 20/22 mm. I recommend the following scaling. No guarantee that
prints smaller 15mm will come out in good condition with your printer. Most of course will work.
• 15mm to get - 73% (Cura 0.73)
• 28mm to get - 127% (Cura 1.27)
• 32mm to get - 146% (Cura 1.46)
It is of course up to you how to change the size of the models.
§§ Legal issues
Unfortunately, it is not without a reference to legal. By purchasing the STL file, you have the right to use it to
print your building models. You determine the number of required models yourself. The copyright on these
models, however, remains with us.

That means in detail

• it is not allowed to give the files to 3rd person by sale or publish the files via social media, networks or
webspaces
• the printed models may not be sold, nor molds and casts be made of them.
• A modification of the STL files and the transmission of changed file contents is also prohibited.
