Answer:
1. Paul Dumol is a well-known writer from the Philippines who is respected for his deep
understanding of Philippine history and culture. Dumol contends that respecting Dr. Jose
Rizal is only the first step toward a deeper comprehension of his values, his selflessness,
and his enduring influence on Philippine society. Dumol contends that adoration at first
glance is insufficient to truly appreciate Rizal's significance. Rather, he pushes us to
investigate Rizal's convictions and deeds, examining his part in forming the identity of
the country. Through examining Dumol's viewpoint, we see that understanding Rizal
entails acknowledging the complexity of his legacy and his ongoing impact on Philippine
history.

2. The relationship between Dr. Jose Rizal and his older brother, Paciano, is shown in the
documentary as being extremely significant and influential. In addition to being Rizal's
brother, Paciano acts as a mentor and father figure for him. Paciano, the older sibling
with a strong sense of duty, significantly influenced Rizal's outlook on life and character.
Throughout Rizal's life, he offers him direction, encouragement, and support,
encouraging his love of learning and his dedication to the Filipino cause. Beyond
relationships with the family, Paciano had an enormous effect on Rizal's development
into a national hero.

3. An important part of Dr. Jose Rizal's intellectual and ideological development was the
recognition of liberalism in Europe. Throughout his stay in Europe, especially in Spain
and Germany, Rizal was introduced to Enlightenment principles that supported freedom,
equality, and individual rights. After engaging in discussions with intellectuals from
Europe and immersing himself in progressive ideas, Rizal came to accept these ideas and
started to imagine a freed Filipino society. In the documentary, Rizal's conversion to
liberalism is portrayed via his interactions with prominent intellectuals and his support of
social and political change in the Philippines. It shows how Rizal's exposure to
progressive concepts stoked his desire for justice and strengthened his resolve to oppose
colonial injustice. It is said that Rizal's pursuit of Filipino emancipation and national
identity is inextricably linked to his dedication to liberalism.

4. When Rizal was living in Hong Kong, his family said they wanted him to go into a job
that would provide a steady income, like medicine or any other field. But in response to
their expectations, Rizal showed his steadfast commitment to the Philippine nationalist
cause. The desire for a traditional career overseas was strong, but Rizal put his all into
defending the rights and dignity of the Filipino people. He reiterated his obligation to
serve his fellow citizens and rejected the idea of having personal ambition. Despite
pressure from his family, Rizal's response demonstrates his altruism and constant
commitment to improving Philippine society.
