MINOR PHYSICAL ABUSE UNDER RA 7610
Scope: Minor physical abuse involves
any act of violence that causes or is
likely to cause injury to the physical
health of the child. This can include
hitting, slapping, or any other form of
physical harm.
Reporting and Response: Cases of minor
physical abuse should be reported to
the appropriate authorities, such as the
Department of Social Welfare and
Development (DSWD) or local law
enforcement.
Legal Action: Legal proceedings may be
initiated against the perpetrator. The
child victim may be placed under
protective custody if necessary.
