CHALLENGES ENCOUNTERED BY SCHOOL OF PUNTA SILUM

INTEGRATED SCHOOL

For over decade of years the school serve as the avenue of learning and a
basket of knowledge that may inculcate through the minds of the different
learners for them to become a holistic and responsible citizen in the future.
Learning environment has an effect to the school and to its learners
and teachers. This may shape the individual whole being of an individual.
It has been a problem to every school that every time a rainfall occur
water will overflow in its vicinity and also water may go inside in every
classroom that may cause disruption to classes.
Punta Silum Integrated School experienced this problem for several
years and this problem was action by the local government. But, when the
project for the expansion of the national highway has been construct, the
overflowing of water in the school back again. That every time a rainfall occur
the whole ground of the school seems to be a pool and some of the water will
go inside in the classroom causing a disruption to the learning.
To resolve this problem our school principal Alvin A.Sabayanan,PhD,
lead the action by back filling of soil, constructing of perimeter fence and also
by making a drainage so that water may flow properly.
Actions are still on progress for the learners to feel secure and safe
every time they are at school.
