INTERNAL VACANCIES
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced members of staff within
the ZCDC group to fill in the below-mentioned posts that have arisen within the
organisation.

1. BELTSMAN (GRADE – C2)

Reporting to the Engineering Foreman, the job is responsible for the following:

Summary of Duties:
• Conducting daily inspections/checks of conveyor belts and associated
components.
• Monitoring and adjusting the tracking of conveyor belts.
• Carrying out splicing of conveyor belts and conducting repairs on damaged belts.
• Documenting all maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and replacements
related to conveyor belts.
• Complying with the company SHEQ policies that promote Zero Harm objectives.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Certificate in Rubber Technology or Conveyor Belt Splicing and Maintenance.
• Five (5) O’ Level passes.
• At least 3 years relevant work experience. Hands-on experience in splicing,
vulcanizing, and lacing conveyor belts is required.
• Sound knowledge of SHEQ Management Systems.

2. BUS DRIVERS (GRADE – B5)

Reporting to the Transport Officer, the job is responsible for the following:

Summary of Duties:
• Safely transporting employees in a timely and courteous manner.
• Ensuring proper upkeep of buses by keeping the buses clean.
• Carrying out daily checklists on the buses and recording any defects noted.
• Immediately reporting the defects noted.
• Complying with the company SHEQ policies that promote Zero Harm objectives.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Clean Class 1 Driver’s Licence with valid competency retest.
• Valid Defensive Driving Certificate (DDC) an added advantage.
• Valid Medical Certificate.
• At least 3 years relevant work experience.
• Sound knowledge of SHEQ Management Systems.

3. CLASS TWO DRIVERS (GRADE – B2)

Reporting to the Transport Officer, the job is responsible for the following:

Summary of Duties:
• Transporting employees and external stakeholders to various destinations as
instructed.
• Loading, transporting, packaging, and delivering goods within the mine and to
different parts of the country.
• Regularly cleaning the vehicle.
• Carrying out daily checks and keeping logbooks up to date.
• Complying with the company SHEQ policies that promote Zero Harm objectives.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• At least 3 O’ Level passes.
• Clean Class 2 Driver’s Licence.
• Valid Defensive Driving Certificate (DDC) an added advantage.
• At least 3 years’ driving experience.
• Sound knowledge of SHEQ Management Systems.
