GREATER BAY AREA
Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macau Greater Bay Area, also known
as the Greater Bay Area (GBA), is a megalopolis consisting of
nine cities in the Guangdong Province of China as well as Hong
Kong and Macau. It is envisioned as an integrated economic
area that plays a significant global role.

The GBA is a fascinating region where you can experience the

fusion of western and eastern cultures, as well as the local
Lingnan culture. It is considered a favorable investment
destination due to its diverse and dynamic industrial landscape
significant and affluent local consumer base, and the ability to
attract highly skilled professionals.

Hong Kong Stock Exchange

• Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) is
one of the world’s major exchange groups, and operates
a range of equity, commodity, fixed income and currency
markets. HKEX is the world’s leading IPO market and as
Hong Kong’s only securities and derivatives exchange
and sole operator of its clearing houses, it is uniquely
placed to offer regional and international investors
access to Asia’s most vibrant markets.

• HKEX is also the global leader in metals trading, through

its wholly owned subsidiaries, The London Metal
Exchange (LME) and LME Clear Limited.

• In 2021 HKEX became the world's largest bourse

operator in terms of market capitalization, surpassing
Chicago-based CME.

Shekou Port
China serves as Georgia's largest importer and is the state's third-
largest export destination. In 2022, the trade volume between
Georgia and China amounted to a substantial $28.94 billion,
highlighting the significance of their economic relationship.

The Port of Shenzhen, encompassing various ports along the

Shenzhen coastline, collectively constitutes one of the most
bustling and rapidly expanding container ports globally. Housing
40 shipping companies, this port complex operates approximately
130 international container routes. With a monthly presence of
560 ships, the Port of Shenzhen also facilitates 21 feeder routes
connecting to other ports within the Pearl River Delta region.

Among the ports within Shenzhen, Shekou Port stands out as a

noteworthy facility equipped with both passenger and container
terminals. Notably, Shekou Port offers weekly shipping services
connecting to Savanna Port, further enhancing trade connections
and opportunities.

• Tencent is a Chinese multinational
technology and entertainment
conglomerate and holding company
headquartered in Shenzhen. It is one of the
highest grossing multimedia companies in
the world based on revenue. It is also the
world's largest company in the video game
industry based on its investments.

• In 2015, 2018, and 2020, the company was

ranked by the Boston Consulting Group
and Fast Company among the 50 most
innovative companies worldwide.

SF Express
SF Express, established in 1993, is now the largest integrated logistics service provider in China and the fourth largest
in the world.

SF has consistently built on its service capabilities, and has diversified into seven segments, namely time-definite
express, economy express, freight, cold chain and pharmaceutical, intra-city on-demand delivery, supply chain and

Founded in 1991, Mindray has emerged as the largest medical
device manufacturer in China. Mindray's mission is to deliver
high-quality, richly featured medical products making
healthcare more accessible and affordable around the world.

Mindray provides solutions in three core businesses: Patient

Monitoring and Life Support, Medical Imaging, and In-Vitro
Diagnostics. With corporate headquarter in Shenzhen, China,
Mindray has a global presence through over 50 international
subsidiaries. The company's commitment to innovation is
evident with 12 research and development centers worldwide
and a significant investment of 10% of annual revenue into
research and development.

According to Mindray's latest financial report, the company's

current revenue (TTM) in 2023 is $4.86 billion.

WeBank is China’s first digital-only bank established in late
2014, and has grown into China’s largest digital bank and a
leader in fintech innovation. WeBank is a joint venture led by
Chinese gaming and social network group Tencent.

Today, WeBank has over 200 million customers and it’s the
leader in assets, loans, net profits, return on equity and other
major categories in the Chinese digital banking space.

WeBank's core mission revolves around providing affordable,

accessible, appropriate, and sustainable banking services to
individuals and small businesses that have historically been
underserved. By leveraging digital technology and innovative
approaches, WeBank aims to bridge the gap and cater to the
financial needs of these segments more effectively.

Shenzhen Metro System

The Shenzhen Metro is the rapid transit system for the city of
Shenzhen. The Line 8 Extension opened on 27 December 2023 put
the network at 555.43 kilometers (345.13 miles) of trackage,
operating on 16 lines with 373 stations. Shenzhen Metro is the 4th
longest metro system in China and 4th longest in the world as of
that date despite having only opened on 28 December 2004. By
2035 the network is planned to comprise 8 express and 24 non-
express lines totaling 1,142 kilometers (710 miles) of trackage.
