CHAPTER III

Methods and Procedures

This chapter present the methods use of research, setting of the study, subjects and respondents,
instrumentation, reliability of the questionnaire, data gathering procedure, and statistical treatment of
the Data.

Method Use

The researcher utilize one to one interview methods involving students to gather information. One to
one interview is a method to delved deeply into individual perspectives, experiences, and
insights.Record keeping is crucial in documenting interview, ensuring confidentiality and privacy.By
conducting these one to one interview, the researcher gathered valuable qualitative data that captures
the intricate details of student's perspectives.

Setting of the Study

The study is conducted in the only six (6) grade 11 HUMSS students in Sipaway National High School

their career choices.

Part IV is in the implications to educational system.

Validity of Research Instrument

The research instrument on the Factors Influence on Career Choices of the Grade 11 HUMSS was the
researcher made. They ask the help of the Practical Research 1 Teacher to check the consistency,
contents, and organizations of the items in the questionnaire. Finally, the Practical Research 1 Teacher
approve the questionnaire.

Reliability Test of Research Instrument

The researcher conducted the first (1) part of the survey questionnaire to the 6 (six) grade 11
HUMSS students to identify the Factors Influence on Career choices by Grade 11 HUMSS students.

After the conduct of the said part of the survey questionnaire the 6 grade 11 HUMSS students
identified that the factors influence on career choices by Grade 11 HUMSS students is the internal
factors and external factors . A clear understanding would result from all questions being correctly
answered. As a result, the research Instrument was deemed reliable.

Data Gathering Procedure

The research ask permission to the practical research adviser to allow the researcher to conduct this
study among the grade 11 HUMSS students. Upon approval of the said request copies of the
questionnaire were floated to the six (6) grade 11 HUMSS students.

Data Analysis

Thematic diagram analysis is a qualitative research method focused on identifying and interpreting
patterns or themes within data. It involves collecting data through various sources, coding the data into
meaningful segments, developing themes by grouping related codes, and creating visual representations
like diagrams or charts to illustrate the relationships between themes. This approach is valuable for
exploring complex data sets and gaining a deeper understanding of underlying themes and patterns that
emerge from the data.
On the other hand, phenomenological analysis is a qualitative research approach that delves into
individuals' lived experiences of a specific phenomenon. It entails gathering data through in-depth
interviews or other methods, suspending researchers' preconceived notions through bracketing,
analyzing the data to identify recurring themes, reducing the data to essential meanings, and writing
detailed descriptions that capture the essence of participants' experiences. Phenomenological analysis
aims to uncover the core aspects of how individuals perceive and make sense of their world, providing
valuable insights into human experiences and perspectives.
