Objective Statement

To facilitate Plant Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food safety certification requirements.

To ensure QC result updations timely,


Functional Skills

Quality Assurance, Food safety, and GMP; Knowledge and interpretation of food safety and GMP standards, Knowledge on Quality Management systems; Auditing
and documentation skills, Training skills, Knowledge on crisis management, Knowledge on quality parameters and analytical skills

Prime Responsibilities of the Role


To Handle the Food Safety functionings and Food Defense within the organization
Responsible for Quality and food safety systems Improvement
Incharge of the total GMP programs and food safety systems and measures taken to maintain free pest environment and tour /Audit ready facility
Suggesting blend ratio for chilli, kashmiri, pickle chilli & guntur chilli powders on the basis of internal specification & cost
Lead the Hygiene & Sanitation activities pertaining to the facility, Pest control, GMP and FS
To coordinate with production team daily and ensure that they are getting quality feedbacks on time and no delay for quality clearances of RM/SFG/FG/PM
Ensure quality sampling of RM/SFG/FG/PM are happening as per standard procedure and sent to lab for analysis and feedbacks
Daily verifies and ensures that the quality related documents in operation are updated correctly and verified
To advise on rework of quality failed but accepted materials /products
To ensure the competency of analytical staffs in coordination with outside NABL accredited labs
To Coordinate and follow up of Plant visit & Inprocess Quality observations
To verify Customer complaints , its RCA and CAPA implementation
To ensure that all products releasing from the unit are meeting quality specification, regulatory and legal requirements
Objectives and deliverables of the Role
A. Functional
Plan , organize, make report of Monthly GMP audits
Ensure FSMS (ISO 22000) systems are implemented in plant operations
To ensure Work instructions at all operations of processing complying food safety requirements

Proactive response in order to avoid material /product quality deterioration, to avoid infestation in plants etc and maintain high level of food safety in operation

Schedule internal audits as per frequency in coordination with internal audit team members
Keep the plant ready to face audits at any time- Ensure all documents and systems are updated
Conduct daily walk through in the plant to assess GMP compliance
Completency assess of lab instruments
Follow up of corrective actions with individual relevant departments (such as Production & maintenance) for GMP highlights
Updating & maintenance of records regarding food safety
Training of employees in Food Safety
Internal HACCP audit and other HACCP related activities
Plan and implement a pest control program in the facility which meets the requirement of a food industry
Compile data from the monitoring system (pest o flash, rodent traps) and send the relevant information to the management
Ensure pest control systems are effective and review documents.
Implement a regular fumigation program for all incoming & in process materials
Implement a program for cleaning & housekeeping at the entire facility to meet requirements of food industry
Conducting trials and implementation of new cleaning chemicals and equipments
Upkeep of the Plant Quality Assurance, Food Safety and GMP Program and conduct internal audits
Preparation and inter-departmental coordination for the external audits, regulatory audits , third party audits, Certification audits
Follow up on the corrective actions on the observations made by external auditors with the concerned departments
Responsible for verification of internal documents related to FSMS, and other quality standards and Customer Codes; continual improvements related to the
standards.
Ensuring records of housekeeping are kept update as per our procedures
B. Supervisory :
Assists in training of other operational staff on quality, food safety and GMP
Training of analysts in instrument handling, analysis etc
Train the operational staffs on Food Safety
Assign work to ensure continuity of work flow
Manage crisis situations related to Food safety requirement
Ensure quality and quantity standards are met
Discuss employees' work performance with subordinate supervisors
Discuss work performance of subordinates with my supervisor
Formally appraise employees' performance and discuss appraisal
Deal with work-related employee problems
Interview employees with attendance or performance problems
C. Analytical:
Solve problems in situations where most problems have occurred before and their solutions are familiar
Solve a variety of problems in situations where only limited standardization exists
The position requires knowledge or skills which enable him to plan, organize and evaluate multiple operational activities
Provides information. Collects, assembles, distributes, files, or stores information to produce standard reports and / or statements
Interprets, analyzes and reports information used by others in decision-making or action taking
