1 General
On a small number of trucks it has been detected that braking does
not work in the lower brake position. As a result, trucks within the
machine number range indicated above should be inspected at the
next service visit. If the brake is not applied when the tiller arm is in
the lower position, perform adjustment according to the “Instruc-
tions” section in this BSM.
NOTE! The operator must verify correct brake operation every day
and, if required, measures should be taken according to the “Daily
inspection” section in the operating instructions.
The Service Manual will also be updated with this information.

2 Procedure

>L + 10mm

• Inspect the switch function in the upper and lower positions.

• Measure the L dimension between the floor and the tiller arm,
when the arm is in the lower position, i.e. it touches the mechan-
ical stopper.
• Lift the arm to the upper position.
• Move down the tiller arm and check that the switch is activated
before the dimension becomes L + 10 mm.
• If the brake is not applied, then first adjust the inductive sensor
in the tiller arm.
• If this does not remedy the problem, then replace the yoke,
switch bracket, screw and locking washer.
