Proof Of Concept Worksheet

Part One:

1. What is the product/service you are selling?

2. Why does someone need this product/service?

3. What is the current situation of your target customer?

4. Why would their life be better if they used your product/service?

5. What is your potential customers’ desired situation?

6. Define your message in a simple sentence or two using the “Message e.g.”.
E.g. “​Hey, if you are ever needing any help with [current situation] or need any
recommendations! I would be happy to see what I can do.”

7. Rate your Message on a scale of 1 to 10 for how well it resonated with your potential
customer. 1 being read with no response and 10 being they responded and want to hear
more from you.

8. Define your message in a simple sentence or two using the “Message e.g.”.
E.g. “​Great, I have a [your offer] that helps [target customer] to [desired result]. Feel free
to go through the process and [call to action] if you would like. I would be happy to see if
I can help.”

9. Rate your Offer on a scale of 1 to 10 for how well it resonated with your potential
customer. 1 being read with no response and 10 being they did your call to action.

Part Two: Test with 50 people.

Start by sending your message to 50 potential customers via Facebook Messenger. You should
make at least 30 offers and you must get 5-10 people to take your call to action before judging if
you have a proof of concept.

1. What words or phrases do you hear potential customers constantly bring up?

2. What common stories do you always hear with potential customers?

3. What did the potential customers who were interested say?

4. What did the potential customers who were NOT interested say?

5. What things does your potential customer appear to be feeling?


E.g.​ Excited, saddened, helpless, motivated

6. What words, sentences or phrases that you used did NOT resonate with your potential
customer?

7. What words, sentences or phrases that you used DID resonate with your potential
customer?

Part Three: Test with 50 more people.

Iterate your message and offer based on the insights and notes you gathered from the first 50
people you spoke with over Facebook Messenger.

Now send your message to another 50 potential customers via Facebook Messenger. You
should make at least 30 offers and you must get 5-10 people to take your call to action before
judging if you have a proof of concept.

Part Four: Keep repeating Part 1-3 until proof of concept is established.

Once proof of concept is established feel free to start using paid advertising methods. It is
recommended that you continue to use a combination of both organic attraction methods and
Facebook ads to gather data and insights for the optimization of your message, offer, funnel,
and Facebook ads.
