II. Rationale
Community awareness is a crucial aspect of preventative healthcare. It is when the people
are informed about the present scenario or situation that they act on it.

The Municipality of Nagcarlan were not able to achieve all of the indicators in the 2022
LGU Scorecard, somewhat like SGLG but in the health sector. In line with this, the RHU
Nagcarlan came up with a competition among 52 barangays for them to receive the “Seal
for Healthy Barangay” so that they will be motivated to achieve better health status for
their constituents. Hence, the project was conceptualized not only for us to target better
score in the said score card, but most importantly, so that we can provide quality health
service for all Nagcarlangins: #KalusuganParaSaLahat.

III. Project Objectives

 To report to the Barangay officials, LCEs and other stakeholder the current health
status of the Nagcarlan for 2023
 To get the full support of the barangay officials as well as the LCEs to strengthen
the health of all the Nagcarlangin thru signing of Pledge of Commitment
 To recognize top performing barangays in the implementation of different health
programs
 To launch the Nagcarlan Seal of Healthy Barangay

IV. Project Description

This event will be conducted in December. The participants from each barangay will
compose of 4: (a) Brgy. Captain, (b) SB on health, (c) BHW and (d) BNS. The main
highlight of the event will be the State of the Health address to be delivered by the OIC-
MHO Dr. Alvin Michael M. de Luna. He will focus on the achievements regarding
health, different indicators of LGU Scorecard, programs needed to focus on and needs
improvements and possible programs for the year 2024. In the afternoon, the “Nagcarlan
Seal of Healthy Barangay” will be launched discussed in order to motivated the Barangay
officials, BHWs and BNS to work together in order to provide the best health services for
their constituents and to achieve better health status among their people. They will sign
the Pledge of Commitment to provide: #KalusuganParasaLahat. This will also serve as
