CHAPTER II

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

REVIEW RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES

Employability of graduates is a gauge of the quality of an academic

institution. Additionally, graduates are the result of national support programs

carried out by colleges. The statistics indicates that women make up the majority

of graduates. Additionally, despite the fact that most graduates with a bachelor's

degree in physical education are "slightly satisfied" with the knowledge and

abilities they have acquired, they are employed in a variety of fields throughout

society. Research indicates that the main cause of unemployment among

unemployed individuals was to continue their education. The findings demonstrate

the need for an organized network for career guidance in order for students to

pursue chosen disciplines. The Bachelor of Physical Education courses can also be

updated to guarantee that participants possess the required knowledge and

abilities. (Berja, Emily J., 2021).

The literature review underscores the pivotal roles of both individual and

organizational factors in the professional development of teachers. It underscores

the significance of teacher collaboration and how certain educators can assume

leadership roles in facilitating learning activities. Furthermore, it highlights the

importance of fostering a positive school culture, characterized by a supportive

environment and an awareness of teachers' learning requirements,in addition to

engaging in partnerships with external experts, all of which positively influence

teachers' professional growth. The review concludes by suggesting that the school
environment provides the best opportunity for teachers to further develop their

skills and knowledge. (May Britt Postholm, December 2012).

Ultimately, the review suggests that the school setting offers optimal opportunities

for teachers to further cultivate their expertise and competencies. A tracer study is

described as an assessment tool in the ILO Thesaurus 2005 where the impact on

target groups is traced back to specific elements of a project or program so that

effective and ineffective project components may be defined. Additionally,

graduate survey results are an important source of information for analysis of the

relationship between higher education and work, according to Millington (2001),

as they provide quantitative structural data on employment and career, the

character of work and related competencies, and information on the professional

orientation, and experiences of their graduates. Lastly, the data gathered is a

significant indicator of the caliber of higher education.

The analysis revealed that the Bachelor of Physical Education curriculum offered

by these Higher Education Institutions gave students a comprehensive and clear

insight into Physical Education. It was also discovered that by closely examining

the commonalities and differences in their curriculum offerings, we could identify

the best practices. These findings could then be used to create an improved

curriculum for a Bachelor of Physical Education for Teachers. (Ferdie Lubis,

January 2019). Therefore, this analysis highlights the importance of continuously

evaluating and refining curricula in order to provide students with the best

possible preparation for their careers as Physical Education teachers. By

implementing these findings, educational institutions can create a curriculum that

fosters the development of highly competent and knowledgeable Physical

Education teachers, ultimately benefiting the field of Physical Education as a

whole.
