Shopping at Camden Lock

Camden Lock Market is one of the most famous places in London, and it attracts

more than 100,000 visitors every weekend. It was founded in 1972 by a group of four

young artists who rented the place to exhibit and sell their work. Over the years the

market developed and more artists and craftsmen began to exhibit their products and

sell them.

Camden Lock became famous for the creativity and originality of the products

exposed there. People from all over England and even from foreign countries started

visiting it. The Victorian architecture surrounding the market has been highly praised

by the architectural press as well.

Nowadays the Camden Market is divided into six markets. They offer products and

entertainment for all tastes, from clothing, jewelry, unusual gifts to food from all over

the world and even film and music fairs. Camden Lock has stayed true to its principle

over the years, which is to present to the world some of the most beautiful creations.
