The bar chart illustrates the monthly expenditure of an American family on three things in

2010.
Overall, what stands from the graph is that there were some upward trends as well as
downward in spending on food, gas and clothing from January till April.
According to the chart expenditures in February and April were considerably higher than
in January and March. The most money-losing item was clothing which costed much higher in
April compared to January, at around above $600 and under $600 respectively. An upward trend
can be observed in spending on gas which rose remarkably from over $200 in February to
approximately $600 in April.
The least spending can be seen in March when over $400 were spend on food which was
the lowest figure compared with other months. Another distinctive point is that the least money-
losing thing of all was clothing in January at a bit more $200. Moreover, spending on food
decreased from February, costing just over $300 in April.
