To begin slideshow, press Ctrl + L (or go to the “View” menu on the top left and in the drop down menu
choose “Full Screen Mode”). You should be in full screen view. If slides do not begin to advance, you are
in manual mode and can proceed with directions below. If your slide show begins on its own, press Ctrl
+ L to get out of the full screen view and see the next slide for details on “If you would like to set a
timer”.
Note: On a Mac, it is Command L to get the slide show to play manually. I am not sure about timing it.
Another option I prefer is to click the mouse to view the next page and use the scroll wheel on the
mouse to scroll the slides up or down. If you cannot do this, press Ctrl + L to get out of full screen,
then go to the Edit menu on the top left and in the drop down menu choose Preferences. In the
window, check the option for Left click to go forward one page, right click to go back one page (in the full
screen navigation section). While in Preferences, you can also check the box Escape key exits, which will
allow you to exit the full screen by pushing the Escape key.
To exit the full screen, press Ctrl + L or Esc (depending on your settings).

Instructions (continued)
Note: Before you can change settings, Make sure you are out of full screen mode by pressing Ctrl + L.
If you would like to set a timer, choose Edit from the top menu. In the pull down menu, go to
Preferences. In the window, check Advance every (under Full Screen Navigation) and put the seconds
that you want in the box. If you want to advance slides manually, do not check the Advance every box.
If you would like to add transitions, in the same window, go to Default transition (under Full Screen
Transitions) and choose a transition option from the pull down menu. If you want to do transitions
manually, choose no transition.
After making your choices, click OK and the slide show will be on your screen. If you forget to press OK
your selections will not work.

For your purchase!
This Sight Word Slide Show set provides a fun, quick
and easy way to practice sight words with a whole
group or independently.
At the end of each sight word list, there are slides
where children can either sound out words, gain new
sight words or learn vocabulary words. (This is the
fun part!)
I have “Sight Word Slide Show” sets in several other seasonal and fun
themes. Also, I have “Sight Word Flash Cards” numbered to match the word
lists in each slide show. I hope you and your children enjoy this learning
adventure!
These Sight Word Slide Show sets make teaching sight words so much more
fun and productive! I use them daily. (I try!) It only takes a few minutes
and my students really love them! I have seen major improvement in their
sight word learning since using the PowerPoint “Sight Word Slide Show” sets.
I appreciate your business and the opportunity to assist you in your
educational journey! © Ms. Toni
How I use them
I usually practice whole group with my children. I
scroll through the words on my Smart Board but
a computer monitor will do also. When we get to
the fun slides at the end of each list, I reward
them with a “warm fuzzy” (pom-pom balls) if
they do a good job listening and learning. When we
fill a jar with warm fuzzies, we earn an ice cream
party! Let your imagination be your guide and
above all------Have Fun!
