ANY ISSUES WITH HNC?.
struggling with mathematics. Lecturer doesn’t teach any of the maths, its more
discussed than taught step by step. When asking a question, lecturer makes me
doubt my ability to be taught the maths at this level.

2. Details about your current placement and what projects/s you are involved
in?
My current placement is: Faslane
My current supervisor is: Christopher Carroll
My current project is: Looking at the systems on A Class Submarines
My role I this current project is to look at books of reference, involvement in
meetings, training courses such as ACTS 60, online safeguarding, etc. working
practices, working processes and procedures such as, security and confidentiality
Skills – I have learned using work systems, helping others, training courses such as
ACTS 60, which allowed me to identify systems on an A Class Submarine.
Behaviours professional, accurate, patient, tolerant and confused.
An example of when I’m confused is when I’m listening in on a meeting and there
are a lot of acronyms being mentioned.

3. HOW DO YOU DEVELOP YOUR MATHS?


I develop my math’s by using things such as, PAP forms when claiming for
expenses, using, and calculating budget plans for work or daily life and HNC
assignments.

4. HOW DO YOU DEVELOP YOUR ENGLISH?


I develop my English by using things such as, sending emails, writing job reports,
communication verbally on the phone, in person or video chat, writing up
performance packs and answering UPK’s for my NVQ, research by using methods
such as the internet, books, historical documents, drawings, diagrams, etc.
5. Health and Safety question.
What is do you do if there is a fire? Do you tackle it yourself? Are you allowed
to?
In the event of a fire you should press the fire alarm, GET OUT, STAY OUT and
CALL 999. If in a building with elevators, use the stairs. Leave all your things where
they are and save yourself.

Three organisations that help support young people are:
1. House Project – a national young person-led project for care leavers.
2. NewDay – a domestic abuse programme working with families in Newham.

What is your opinion on the current situation with crime in this country?
My opinion on crime in this country is that it is increasing significantly. There
should be better methods of decreasing crime, instead of introducing new, stricter
laws which will in turn make criminals more rebellious to those new rules.

More confident, better communicator and asking for help, more confident and a
