2.0 Responsibility and Authority


2.1.1 The IHC Team is responsible to ensure the effective operation of the HAS System. The appointed team
members will have the following responsibility and authority:
2.1.1.1 Assist in maintaining the HAS System.
2.1.1.2 Identify and record any problems with regards to products, processes and the HAS
System.
2.1.1.3 Initiate corrective actions and control nonconforming products until the deviation or the
unsatisfactory condition regarding food safety has been corrected.
2.1.1.4 Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence and recurrence of any non-conformances relating
to the product, processes and the Food Safety Management System.

2.1.2 IHC Chairman


2.1.2.1 Ensure that the HAS is established, implemented and maintained in accordance to the
standards and regulations.
2.1.2.2 Report the effectiveness and suitability of the HAS to the company’s management for
review and as a basis for improvement of the HAS.
2.1.2.3 Organize and coordinate the work of the IHC Team.
2.1.2.4 Ensure education and training of IHC Team
2.1.2.5 Liaison with external parties on matters relating to the HAS.

2.2 Criteria for Selecting IHC Team


2.2.1 Multi-disciplinary
Members of the IHC Team consist of representatives from the following departments to facilitate the
smooth execution of the IHC plan:
2.2.1.1 Quality Assurance / Quality Control Division
2.2.1.2 Production Division
2.2.1.3 SCM Division
Team members are to be selected in accordance to their job responsibilities and abilities. All team
members are trained in HAS & GMP have been briefed on their food safety job responsibility.

2.2.2.1 Minimum 1 year working experience in similar field.


2.2.2.2 Completed training in HAS & GMP (either internal or external training).
2.2.2.3 Possess knowledge in basis food hygiene and sanitation and able to share this information to
the production floor.
