B. Motivation
LANGUAGE SHOWDOWN!
Today, we are going to have a new
topic. But before we formally start our
discussion, we will have a game that is
called, Language Showdown! Exciting!

Here are the mechanics of the game:

We will going to have a two set. For the
Spoken and Written Language.

First is for the Spoken, Each team

selects a representative to participate in
the spoken language challenge and I will (The students are listening carefully)
give them topics on everyday scenarios.
The representatives take turns speaking
on the given topics for a specified
amount of 2-3 minutes. The rest of the
team members act as judges, evaluating
the speakers based on clarity, coherence,
and persuasiveness of their spoken
responses.

Second is for the Written, After the

spoken language challenge, the roles are
reversed, and the other team members
become the participants in the written
language challenge. I will also provide
each team with a written prompt or
scenario, such as writing a persuasive
essay or drafting a dialogue between
characters. Team members collaborate
to compose written responses to the
prompts within 2-3 minutes. The written
responses are then exchanged between
teams, and each team evaluates the
clarity, organization, and effectiveness
of the other team's written
communication.
