 Count to and from 20, moving from any starting point.

 Connect number names, numerals and quantities,
including zero, initially up to 10 and then beyond.

Measurement and Geometry

 Connect days of the week to familiar events and

actions.
Science
Physical Sciences

Students develop an understanding of how things move. They learn how the way
objects move depends on a variety of factors, including their size and
shape. They explore the push and pull forces they can use to move objects in
ways such as sliding, bouncing, and spinning. Through investigations, students
will also observe and gather evidence about rolling objects and explore the idea
of fair testing.
 Health
Personal, Social and Community Health
 Students participate in play that
promotes engagement with outdoor
setting and natural environment.
 They practise personal and social
skills to interact positively with others.
 They learn to identify and describe
emotional responses people may
experience in different situations.
The Arts
Students will explore personal experiences
as an inspiration to create original artwork.
While exploring natural and man-made
materials they will be introduced to the
visual elements of shape, colour, line
and texture.
Humanities and Social Sciences
History
Personal and family histories including:
 Who the people in their family are,
where they were born and raised, and
showing how they are related to each
other, using simple family trees.
 The different structures of families and
family groups today and what they
have in common.
Technologies
Students learn the design process: Investigate
and define, design, produce and implement,
evaluate, and collaborate and manage.
