1. Name / Title of the Project:

Implementation of IOT Based Smart Assistance Gloves for Disabled Persons.

2. Problem Statement:
Words, sentences and gestures are therefore not interpreted. Also instant Voice Output
components are missing. this is specifically the problem statement on which the smart
glove is designed so that not only alphabets but also word’s and sentences . Will be
understood and translated along with the gestures.

3. Why is the particular topic chosen?

This smart assistance gloves has facility of Home appliance control from which is a
physically impaired person become independent to live . A smart glove that zaps the
back of your hand makes it feel like you are grasping objects in virtual reality, by sending
electrical signals to nerves in your palms. The aim of the project is to make a Smart
gloves
which minimize the obstacles for the disabled people.

4. Objective and scope of the project:

The main objective of the project is to bring the technology for the help of differently
abled people to communicate effectively and in most meaningful form. main idea is
Monitoring the health conditions and also to control the wheel chair with finger
gestures .the gloves design is very simple yet effective.

5. Methodology:
Smart gloves helps the disabled people to lead a normal life. Communication between
normal people and people with vocal and hearing troubles is a difficult task. For this
project Arduino Nano is used. All sensor are connected to Arduino Nano by using
connecting wires There are 5 fingers for a person. By using hand Gloves the Flex sensors
are fixed to it .By bending the finger the Resistance increases and the respective bending
finger Command is through Arduino Nano. For example for Index finger we have fixed a
 flex sensor. For that we have Given a command like “FOOD”. If the disabled person
Wants food then he bends the index finger.

For the output we have used APR3A33Voice recording and Playback module .This module
gives Audio output that we have stored like Food. And if the audio is not hearable then We
have used GSM module. By using this GSM module Message is sent to caretaker phone. If
the caretaker is Outside then also he gets a message. If there is an Emergency purpose then
he bends a Small finger. Then the Caretaker knows that he is in danger. Like that for 5 finger
5flex sensors are used for each finger there is a Command and the respective finger
command
output is Observed as message and listened as voice.

6. Hardware & Software to be used:

 Arduino Nano
 GSM
 Flex sensors
 Voice module

7. Testing Technologies used:

 Arduino Nano

8. What contribution would the project make?

Thus, the proposed model has the advantage of assisting deaf and dumb as well as the
paralyzed patients by. displaying the output. commands in android application with vocal
 output in speaker. In future, we can enhance this proposed model with a maximum number
of commands. Using AI, the data-based system can be further enhanced. with. speech
recognition. For home automation, by using different gestures we can control various basic
functions such as switching home appliances in an effective manner.
