Metaverse : Use of Metaverse in Matrimony

Here is how India's first Metaverse wedding, which featured two brand associations and 500 guests, was carried out.

• The first couple to wed in India on a 3D Metaverse was Abhijeet and Sansrati, who exchanged vows on
Saturday, February 5th, 2022. Yug Metaverse was the location of the wedding (made in India metaverse
platform). Dr. Sansrati from Bhopal and IT entrepreneur Abhijeet Goel first connected online via a matrimonial
service.
• They made the decision to get married but wanted their friends and family to attend from all around the world,
so they considered getting married online so that everyone could attend without jeopardising the safety of
their guests.For ITC Ltd. and Matrimony.com, the media company Wavemaker India conceptualised, planned,
and carried out the association.
• A beautiful beachside wedding setting was developed by Abhijeet and Sansrati and was accessible through the
Yug platform. More than 500 people signed up to attend the wedding.
• Users could alter their avatars, explore the event, and take advantage of the dance floor."Metaverses like Yug
are a natural progression from the existing 2D Internet to an Immersive 3D Experience similar to the actual
world. It has a great deal of potential for the future and is moving closer to erasing the distinction between the
real world and the virtual one.
• Yug is a public platform where users may either build their own experiences, such as marriages, virtual
events, exhibits, hangouts with friends, business meetings, and conferences, or they can take part in
experiences that others have already produced.

performed their wedding through the usage of metaverse.
❖ Now discussing about the gap identification: For people to play in and spend time in
virtual worlds, metaverses can be advantageous. The utilisation of digital spaces can
also be advantageous for enterprises. It can be made possible to attract the potential
crowd than the desired crowd.
❖ Feasibility: The onboarding process will be completely reimagined thanks to the
metaverse, rather than just being transferred from the physical world of today to a
virtual one. New employees could speak with the founder or visit the job site instead of
reading another document or watching a video about the history of a company. The
existence of fraudsters, fake marriages, and other such things is true, and I agree with
that, but not entirely.
❖ There are numerous matrimonial websites out there, including shadi.com,
Jeevansathi.com, and others, which are reliable and offer good services after verifying
the information.
❖ When it comes to success rates, researchers have found that online couples who marry
are happier than offline couples. Compared to couples who met offline, they have a
slightly higher chance of staying married and a marginally lower chance of divorcing.
➢ Marketing:- Make collectibles available. People enjoy collecting items, and there is a new
opportunity to create another collection in the metaverse. Digital collectibles can also be
traded with other users. Nike, for example, is creating NFTs for digital products, which are
unique and secured with blockchain technology to prove ownership.
➢ Use native advertising. As people explore the metaverse, there will be opportunities for
native advertising such as billboards on a virtual street or product placement. There are also
sponsorship opportunities for events within the metaverse. Coca-Cola and Samsung have
virtual billboards in video games such as Football Manager.
Here, in the case of matrimonial advertisements can be done so that users on metaverse can
gain an advantage and spread good word of mouth to attract more audience on the platform

➢ Conclusion:- In 2023, the debate over the metaverse will pick up steam. After all, businesses
continue to embrace a future that is inescapably digital. Users can currently participate in
projects that are similar to the metaverse and incorporate blockchain into their daily lives,
even though experts predict that it will take another five to ten years for people to experience
a fully functional metaverse.
