Climate Change DLP
Climate Change DLP
(The process of systematically planning, developing, evaluating, and managing the instructional process by
using principles of teaching and learning - D.O. 42, s. 2016)
Detailed Lesson Plan (DLP) Format
I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards The learners demonstrate an understanding of:
Factors that affect climate, and the effects of changing climate and
how to adapt accordingly
Learning Objectives:
1. Interpret the relationship of carbon dioxide and temperature;
2. Enumerate ways to lessen the bad effect of global warming;
3. Create a poster with a slogan showing cause and effect of
climate change

V. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing previous lesson or Elicit (5 minutes)
presenting the new lesson Prayer:
1. The teacher will lead the prayer.
"God, as we start this new day for new learning, we ask for
your guidance. Give us the heart to love and be kind to one
another. Please watch over all our teachers, children, and
families. In Jesus' name. Amen."
Greetings:
1. The teacher will greet the students "Good Morning
Class!"
Checking of Attendance
1. Is there any absent for today's class? "Very good!
Perfect Attendance"
In this game, the class will be divided into two groups. And each
group will be given same question they need to answer but with a
twist. Each group should line up, and the first person on the line will
read the question and try to answer and then whisper it to the next
person on the line. The most number of points will win.

What is climate?
- Is a change in the usual weather found in a place. This
could be a change in how much rain a place usually gets in
a year. Or it could be a change in a place's usual
temperature for a month or season.
E. Discussing new concepts and - Climate change is also a change in Earth's climate. This
practicing new skills #2 could be a change in Earth's usual temperature. Or it could
be a change in where rain and snow usually fall on Earth.
- Weather can change in just a few hours. Climate takes
hundreds or even millions of years to change.
What is the main factor in the increase of global temperature?
- The main driver of climate change is the greenhouse effect.
Some gases in the Earth’s atmosphere act a bit like the
glass in a greenhouse, trapping the sun’s heat and stopping
it from leaking back into space and causing global warming.
What is greenhouse effect?
- The greenhouse effect is the process through which heat is
trapped near Earth's surface by substances known as
'greenhouse gases.'
- Major greenhouse gases include carbon dioxide, methane,
nitrous oxide, and various synthetic chemicals. Carbon
dioxide is widely reported as the most important
anthropogenic greenhouse gas because it currently
accounts for the greatest portion of the warming associated
with human activities.
What is global warming?
- Global warming is the long-term warming of the planet's
overall temperature.
- Though this warming trend has been going on for a long
time, its pace has significantly increased in the last hundred
years due to the burning of fossil fuels.
- As the human population has increased, so has the volume
of fossil fuels burned.
